To be frank , I had lot if pre bias about Aaditya, but, by seeing this meeting, I can say for sure that, He is an educated, polite though young, well groomed and a very good host as far as the hospitality is concerned..!! Though I am Gujarati, I love all Maharashtrian food, as I am born n brought up in Mumbai and I have met his uncle, father of Raj Thakrey too long ago..!! I have met Balasaheb when young, we used to call him Kaka, as I used to stay in Govt Colony near Aatwale Buglow..!! I wish some day , I too can have maharashtrian veg thaali with Aaditya..!! Ganpati Bappa Morya, Good to hear Shri Aditya Thackrey's stories of Ganpati festival and it being a mix of family and community celebration. For someone who was born in this state, I can proudly say that this festival is our favourite and the fervor, dedication, divinity and dignity with which it is celebrated - both at homes and in traditional 'Mandals' is both awesome and notable. We love our Bappa and welcome him with our best of food, especially Modaks. Also, credit is due to the efforts of this government, under the leadership of Shri Udhav Thackrey, for the good work done for controlling Covid and management of health infrastructure. I am sure people of Maharashtra shall continue to follow all protocols and keep this dreaded disease under check. People had to curb their enthusiasm for past couple of years for our beloved Ganpati festival but it is for the best of all of us. Btw, only Kunal can say in front of a minister that "hum khana khate hain thoda" and the dignitary won't mind because they know this truly Michelin Star Foodie well and how much he loves to eat. I vouch for the idea to start a Michelin star foodie brigade and would love to be a part of it. After the Sadhya, this amazing Ganpati festival's Maharshtrian jhevan mejvani at the prestigious Varsha is fun to watch (I hope I got it right). All your star dishes were there. Puran Podi, Alu wadi, Modak, Bhaji and Varan bhat with toop. Speaking of which, I remember the year 2002 when I was invited to one of my senior colleague's place lunch during Ganpati and they had the usual festive fare, which for me was new then and my first lunch invitation to a Maharashtrian home. I remember having eaten a few portions of varan bhat with generous warm 'toop' and late I must have had at least 4 or 5 Ukdiche modak doused in 'toop' again, as dessert. I was in such an amazing food coma and was so in need of siesta that I forgot which way to go after I exited the building. But the host help me plonk into a rickshaw. I can never forget the meal, especially the ghee laden modaks, and the story of my sleep walking food coma becoming famous in office on next working day. Aditya Thackeray has the potential to become one of the biggest political leaders in the coming few decades primarily because he has time and again demonstrated maturity at such a young age, restraint and control over his emotions especially when he was being targeted by people with a hidden agenda. The second reason I feel so is because in the age of technology it's very difficult to fake a personality and get away with it. Aditya seems genuine and cultured and there is a great deal of simplicity in his words, actions and thoughts. Every political party is desperately trying to evolve with the passage of time but a very few are successful because of undeserving heirs but in the case of the Thackeray's, Aditya is probably the only one who has the capability to excel tremendously. The late Balasaheb Thackeray could not have asked for a better grandson. He was raised so well and it's evident by the way he behaves. It's such a shame that there aren't enough people like him within the party who possess qualities similar to his. The party should get more people like Aditya if it wants to grow and retain its power. They should prefer educated youth to become corporators instead of the uneducated ones who are usually being given the opportunity. It's the uneducated people who misuse their power and act hastily and spoil the party's name in situations when the problems can be solved legally or amicably. The youth of the country will want their political leaders to be genuine and intelligent and will definitely reject the ones who show off their precious metals and muscle power. Aditya has set an example of the ideal politician even in such bad times, his rise will be gradual, not meteoric but that's how it should be as he is what I call, a lambi race ka ghoda.

Good to hear Shri Aditya Thackrey's stories of Ganpati festival and it being a mix of family and community celebration. For someone who was born in this state, I can proudly say that this festival is our favourite and the fervor, dedication, divinity and dignity with which it is celebrated - both at homes and in traditional 'Mandals' is both awesome and notable. We love our Bappa and welcome him with our best of food, especially Modaks.
Also, credit is due to the efforts of this government, under the leadership of Shri Udhav Thackrey, for the good work done for controlling Covid and management of health infrastructure. I am sure people of Maharashtra shall continue to follow all protocols and keep this dreaded disease under check. People had to curb their enthusiasm for past couple of years for our beloved Ganpati festival but it is for the best of all of us.
Btw, only Kunal can say in front of a minister that "hum khana khate hain thoda" and the dignitary won't mind because they know this truly Michelin Star Foodie well and how much he loves to eat. I vouch for the idea to start a Michelin star foodie brigade and would love to be a part of it.
After the Sadhya, this amazing Ganpati festival's Maharshtrian jhevan mejvani at the prestigious Varsha is fun to watch (I hope I got it right). All your star dishes were there. Puran Podi, Alu wadi, Modak, Bhaji and Varan bhat with toop. Speaking of which, I remember the year 2002 when I was invited to one of my senior colleague's place lunch during Ganpati and they had the usual festive fare, which for me was new then and my first lunch invitation to a Maharashtrian home.
I remember having eaten a few portions of varan bhat with generous warm 'toop' and late I must have had at least 4 or 5 Ukdiche modak doused in 'toop' again, as dessert. I was in such an amazing food coma and was so in need of siesta that I forgot which way to go after I exited the building. But the host help me plonk into a rickshaw. I can never forget the meal, especially the ghee laden modaks, and the story of my sleep walking food coma becoming famous in office on next working day.

Aditya Thackeray has the potential to become one of the biggest political leaders in the coming few decades primarily because he has time and again demonstrated maturity at such a young age, restraint and control over his emotions especially when he was being targeted by people with a hidden agenda. The second reason I feel so is because in the age of technology it's very difficult to fake a personality and get away with it. Aditya seems genuine and cultured and there is a great deal of simplicity in his words, actions and thoughts. Every political party is desperately trying to evolve with the passage of time but a very few are successful because of undeserving heirs but in the case of the Thackeray's, Aditya is probably the only one who has the capability to excel tremendously. The late Balasaheb Thackeray could not have asked for a better grandson. He was raised so well and it's evident by the way he behaves. It's such a shame that there aren't enough people like him within the party who possess qualities similar to his. The party should get more people like Aditya if it wants to grow and retain its power. They should prefer educated youth to become corporators instead of the uneducated ones who are usually being given the opportunity. It's the uneducated people who misuse their power and act hastily and spoil the party's name in situations when the problems can be solved legally or amicably. The youth of the country will want their political leaders to be genuine and intelligent and will definitely reject the ones who show off their precious metals and muscle power. Aditya has set an example of the ideal politician even in such bad times, his rise will be gradual, not meteoric but that's how it should be as he is what I call, a lambi race ka ghoda.
