I have heard stories that throughout history there have been many instances of religious persecution that Christians would only have access to a single page at a time of scripture that they may have had to secretly copy of write down what they could, and then hide it from the authorities for fear of punishments. I heard when they gathered together that single page would have been all they had to read and study. When I first hear of this happening years ago I was amazed, I wondered what could you possibly do with just 1 page of the Bible. This actually holds true to the times of the Ephesians, when Paul wrote a letter to them. It was in real time, and it may have been only a few bits of Christian scripture they actually had. That was it, there wasn't even a completed new testament to refer too. All they had were a few pages. Alistair Begg shows us hear that he simply reads 4 verses from one page of Paul's letter, and lays out the foundation of the entire transformation from "Gentile" to "Practicing Christian" When you hear and understand the word of God the father, God the Son, and their Holy Spirit, you only need a few words of scripture to make a whole lot of sense to whats really going on in this world. Thank you Alistair and to your whole team for the excellent work you do bringing the word of God to this world and its people now.
Thank God for men like Begg and Macarthur for preaching the truth one verse at a time.
