Back in the day I rallied a mini (948cc then 998cc then 1275cc) which ran a 3 synchro 'box. Competed in Wales & England and constantly double de-clutched down the box. When pulling out of uphill hairpin bends after using the handbrake a super-quick double de-clutch into 1st gear was required to get a quick get away. You should try it!!
twin carbs are fitted to rover, triumph and austin models including the healey. ne reason to assume they will be less reliable on a mini cooper. the value of the ca lies in its originality, so by altering the origial specs you are devaluing the car.
Why is the voltage regulator in the wrong location along with the wrong carbs as is the wrong distributor and Hi Lo's? Door straps should be red as well and the steel wheels should be white...Front valance should be a full skirt without the cutouts. Lets see the body number or this a re-shell like I think.This iconic car deserves a much more expert approach..

Aftermarket grill sucks as does the heater tap and shifter boot.
