    “ITS NOT JUST HAIR”.
As black people our hair holds great spiritual and cultural significance. At the end of our lives we depend on those entrusted with our care to honor this sacredness. Shampooing, conditioning, detangling, removing braids and other extensions, and properly knowing how to care for / prep locs and twist are all ESSENTIAL skills for all end of life, health and especially death care professionals. Join me as we explore each of these practices.
Each course is 1 hour long and jam packed with NEW material that includes a presentation, open dialog, Q&A, and video demonstrations.
These course are perfect for anyone who works in the end of life, health and death care professions or is responsible for the care of a black person who is transitioning or unable to or unfamiliar with caring for their own hair care needs.
Each course is priced at $65.00 (UNTIL 4/2 📈) and is approved for 1 hour of continuing education credit for licensed funeral directors and embalmers through APFSP.
Please contact me directly if you have any questions or would like to register 5 or more participants.
    See you in class 🖤

Nothing was offered in terms of Black Decedent Hair Care in Mortuary Science classes during the '70's. Back then, embalmers washed hair & called licensed beauticians before casketing unless families brought in wigs.

Sadly not much has changed 😢 which is why I created an entire Black Death Care, Cultural and Grief Academy.
