It is fascinating to watch your decorator uncover past design details. She is very skilled, and I think you are fortunate to have found her! Good to see the progress!
Hi nice to see another decorator taking care and time to uncover the original paint work will be nice to see it restored,I was a decorator for thirty years and I loved to work on old houses and cottages.😊
Love the haircut 🥰 my husband has had this type haircut for over 35 years. The pattern behind the paint inside the house is pretty it’s a shame that people would paint over such beauty. Take care and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
You’re making a great job of it little by little, it’s going great and very interesting to watch and see the history of the villa unfolding. Well done all of you. That ironwork is priceless, proper blacksmith work and worth every hour of work to restore. You look ten years younger with short hair my friend, which works for me too, I’m 54 but look 64 until I get a haircut! 😅
Interesting to uncover the original surfaces on the house . Btw I love your music choices ! You’ll never please everyone. You are all so incredibly busy , I’m amazed you have time to make videos at all ! We so appreciate that you do , please don’t bother about people whining about the background music !
@@VillaAroldi This was a good one for music. Classical is ok and is not bothering anyone Its the modern drum machine beats that get people switching off I think
Just wanted to say that step by step your dream is being achieved. Very much enjoy your videos and look forward to your postings. Your video skills are growing too!!!
Dealing with contractor excuses is so exhausting. I feel for you. When you uncover the original exterior decorations, what will be the plan? Will you be able to recreate it? I can’t believe it was ever covered up.
Unfortunately the condition and degradation of the facade is so bad so a lot of it is completely gone so a lot of the work will be based on old photos and the original sketch so it will never be 100% like it used to be because at this point we really do not know how it once looked.
I hope you can get the window company to come very soon. I feel your pain with that. I admire your to restoring the facade to its previous glory. :). Looking forward to your next video and also hoping the window show up very soon. :)
I've never seen or heard business people and municipal employees being so undependable about showing up. The construction videos I watch made in France and Portugal shock me. Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us. 🇺🇸
I think both Spain, Portugal and France are WAY better than Italy when it comes to these things but still miles behind the rest of Europe. Thank you for watching Linda!
I admire all your skills and hard work to restore this beautiful home. Lots of love between one another as well as for your lovely dogs. It makes for an enjoyable episode. Thank you for sharing.
If your suppliers and the utility people would just be honest and tell you truthfully when you can expect your windows and your electric and sewer connections, you could plan for them. But I'm sure they keep telling you "next week" or "by the end of the month", and then they don't show. Aggravating! I look forward to seeing your villa's real facade in the original colors!
Exactly that! Yes, it's gonna be a while though, we will have to tear down the whole facade and redo it as it's in such poor condition, but eventually you will see it!
I missed, but glad you’re back and carrying on! It’s fascinating how the lady can discover what was originally on the Villa! The kitchen and bathroom are getting closer!! My goodness those companies are in no hurry to get things to you! Glad you’re having wonderful weather to get work accomplished!
I really respect the care you're taking with finding the history and the details of this beautiful old house. The stables are shaping up nicely! I do wish you'd switch up that depressing music you use during the timelapses, though. I have to mute it whenever it comes on because I've heard it so often and can't take it anymore. What you're doing here is anything but depressing! Your work is inspiring and interesting, and you seem like fun people. Shouldn't the music reflect that? Anyway. Good work! Have an enjoyable week. 💕
Thank you Jen! I'd love to get ideas for music, it's one of the hardest things to find as most of the music available is copyright protected, but if you find anything good that's not protected, please let me know!
Your back! Great to see you all again. Glad some things were done while you were gone. Hopefully you will be able to work things out with the windows and connecting the sewer lines. Paint looks good. Tile work coming along. Relax...you've go this.
I realize the delays with the windows and utilities are frustrating!! Sorry that you got to the point you pulled your hair out!😂😂 Actually, the haircut looks 👍🏻 good! I hope things pick up speed for you now before the weather gets much warmer but the bathroom floor looks really good 🎉 …..and the painting looks great 👍🏻 So you’re making progress still, but slowly! Keep up the good work and I hope the pace of these major projects picks up soon for you guys!😊
Looking hot with the hair cut ,😂😂😂 I embraced this look years ago. And ofcourse you know everything will arrive at once ......when you re not there !!!!
Well maybe things will pick up soon. It's got to be hard dealing with all the different suppliers . Loved the original paint color. Interesting videos always. Your haircut looks great.
please wear a mask as minimum when cutting marble, stone or gypsum , the fine dust ruins your lungs. Also use tape on the gypsum joints before putting on the joint compound otherwise when it moves you will end up seeing all the joints and get small cracks
Yes but we are using a sealant for the gaps in between the stones. Unfortunately they used grey for the kitchen so we are gonna have to scrape that clean and use another one there.
I'm sure you have already found out that Italy has a pervasive bribe culture. If you want the contractors to show up, offer them X amount of dollars above the agreed upon sum to be done by a certain date. You shouldn't have to of course, but you can be pretty sure that the place where they are working when they're supposed to be at your house did offer them extra.
Im not sure it's a bribe culture but more of a "who screams the most get priority" kind of culture, we have noticed that whenever we get really upset with someone they usually show up, but whenever we treat people with respect and are being kind they take us for fools. Mildly frustrating!
As an Italian I am ashamed of how the window suppliers are treating you! Due to the bonus 110 all builders and suppliers are busy and there is a shortage of raw materials, but at least they should be honest and not keep people waiting in vain!
I agree, I think the major problem is the 110 bonuses which is finally coming to an end, so hopefully builder will soon have a bit more time on their hands. Thank you for watching!
The new haircut suits you very much. Fascinating to see the old painting re-emerge
Thank you Andrea
Yes, very fascinating!

Yes we cant understand how anyone can paint over things like this.
You look very good with this new haircut
Thank you!
Wonderful to have such a skilled person helping uncover the building’s past decor, and Tony and Jimmy uncovering whatever was under ground.
Haha, they are most likely digging for lizards 😂
Every Reno hits a stage like you're going thru. Contractors late, materials not arriving. You'll get there.
It's really coming together, great work
So true, but it feels like this one hit that stage right at the start and is still stuck there 😂
..the kitchen and bathroom floor tiles look great...👍
Thank you, we think so too!
I truly hope the windows arrive soon along with the rest of the utilities.
So do we!
Thank you for watching Gordon

Yes, we do love the old ironwork even though it's a lot of work to restore.
I can't wait to see how it turns out!
It will be a while but all will be revealed on the channel so stay tuned!

väldigt spännande med den där damen som tar fram det gamla under till färgen/murbruket på villan. hoppas det löser sig med fönstren!

I am so excited to see the outside restored !!! It's going to be so very lovely . Do you know when your Villa was constructed ? 💖
Yes, can't wait!
It was finished in 1926 so it's fairly new
Another busy week. The floor tiles are so beautiful. I love the original facade colours. 💖
Yes, we are slowly getting there with the tiles.
Hebron and Anna, when was your villa built? Those areas of painting are going to be fantastic! Doing a great job! Love the dogs!

What a load of frustration. Hope people start showing up pretty soon. Is the construction still as bad at home??
Yes, still the same noise in the apartment, luckily we are moving out soon. Would be great to have the stables a bit more finished before though 😂
