I just discovered this series today about 2 years & a month after you published it. I never expect independent series to be very good, but I'm always willing to watch the pilot. I loved the pilot. I loved the concept of a couple setting up (for friendship) a difficult gay guy and a likable straight guy. (There was a dash of titillation from thinking the couple might be thinking the straight guy wasn't completely straight, since he was 40 & still single.) I had to watch the next episode to see how it went. It was funny & believable that it went better than I expected. So, here I am 2 hours later, having finished season 1. The dialog is clever without going overboard. I immediately cared about Ted & Martin, first as a potential couple, and then as individuals. I was the least interested in Eddie, until you had him open up about only posing as a stereotype. He actually cared & knew about things he didn't want his fellow cops to know about-musicals, for example. One quibble: I think Val & Eddie would have known it was a false pregnancy sooner than you have them finding out. So that seemed a bit of a cheat. I think there are a lot of people out there who would like this series, if they knew about it. After 2 years this should have way more than 16,495 views.

I like it even though I was a wee bit disappointed about the finale. I like the main lead, yet I was really hoping that Ted & Martin will have something more. Perhaps that's was it, He's with me, meaning they're just friends, and the love is still building up, hoping that you'll take it the notch in the second season, hmm...the main lead is bitter about his life, and that's was his charm in here, because bitter in a funny way of sort, atleast for me.. :), I enjoyed it, thanks for a great show i specially like the chemistry between the two main lead(martin & ted), yet a bit disappointed because nothing really comes out of those few dates, what can i say i am a romantic,haha, i need some romance a bit, haha...
all in all it was still fun, looking forward for the next season...

This should episode should have been the first show followed by a look back at how it all started. The viewers get caught up in the roles of everyone here. Then wonder how this situation began .First the hook then REEL them in. I enjoyed the story line and await to see what happens.

+Terrence Moss I agree. I don't want the artificial complication of backtracking AND then having a spoiler about where it's headed, unless the first chronological episode wouldn't hook me. And in this case, it did, more than the last episode would have.

I did a first-season marathon of this show last night (after finishing Hustling, I needed a Sebastian La Cause fix!). I like it -- trust Sebastian (and Jason) to come up with what is basically a same-sex version of "Will and Grace."
PLEASE tell me there's a second season in the works -- you can't leave me hanging with the introduction of Ted's bitch-on-wheels ex!
You have to get the next season out, NOW!!! I've got a razor to my wrist. If you don't, things could get ugly, and you don't want this on your conscience, do you??? Great series, congrats!
What will happen ? will Val have an abortion , will Benny and martin fall in love or will teddy marry or will Julie reek chaos on them all ? .Hmmmm something to ponder , people , something to ponder .
just so funny coz i don't like henny for ted. hahaha... well, martin it is time for you to not so attached to the people you are closed to. i know they are very dear to you but they have their lives a s well. too bad you are the only gay guy i a straight group of friends. still don't like henny. hahaha...
I hate to be the party pooper here, but this was not good. I watched because of Sebastian La Cause. Hustling, despite its many flaws, was totally addictive. This had no narrative drive and a central character who's difficult to like. I hope you're not wasting your time on a second season. Out of almost 4000 views (10% of Hustling's numbers), only 8 people liked it enough to comment. Cut your losses and move on. It didn't work.
