its fishing very strangely at the moment hey? good to see you getting amongst them and loving the 'took off like a carp' moment 🤣 i had a couple of ripper sessions a couple of weeks back and then it's gone very quiet... loads of very small (and i mean really small!) bass in certain areas but i've really struggled to get through to anything of a decent size...
Cheers Jake :) Ye' some days harder than others certainly. Knowing when the best time to go out is real hit and miss sometimes. I'm really lucky as I normally get a chance during the week. A few weeks ago? That would be the run up to the full moon, one of my fave times to fish. If the moon period coincides with good conditions the fishing can be awesome, as you found out! :)
Thanks Nick. Ye' I've generally found bigger fish in the main basin, although there are times when the main basin is like a desert and for some reason they've all decided to head for the edges elsewhere in the lake. Just gotta' work them out on the day I guess. :)
@@PTPFishing Not sure Pete, although I did notice one morning when there were a heap of rowers and tender boats going through the middle, the fish seemed to have been pushed to the edge right up against the weed line
@@Pukka1963 I have had a couple of good sessions there not traveling as far as I normally would. The further I have travelled, the smaller the fish. Got pushed off the water by ski boat traffic on one of those trips. Two boats felt that they should run between me and the shore!
@PTPFishing one of the stupid things about the lake, a ski slalom right next to the launch point. I’m sure it was OK when skiing was only allowed on certain days but now it’s just an accident waiting to happen

Funny how the concentrations of fish continue to be main basin. I wonder if the increased ski traffic is slowing their moments?
