Only difference between a cop and a criminal is qualified immunity.
Those two people are ex-cop now, so they don't have qualified immunity anymore.
@@dragonfighter01 I’ll bet they won’t be “Ex” cops for very long. They’ll both be hired as sworn officers of the law somewhere very soon.
Unfortunately Qualified Immunity carry’s over unless a Judge deems they are in gross violation of their duties. End Qualified Immunity
@@dragonfighter01 “ex” only in that department. They’ll be cops in a department two counties over.
The cop lied in his interview everyone that saw it on the video. They should be charged with beating that man
They brutally attack someone and all they get is fired? Anyone in the general public would be facing criminal charges.
Lying on a report is a federal crime but the underboss prosecutors and crime boss judges are the main problem ignoring laying the charges . 18 U.S. Code § 1001
Your 99th thumbs up!
They were fired for lying, not the beating
This report is outdated. The terminations were rescinded and they were allowed to resign.
They said their actions are being reviewed for possible charges. Maybe that review is finished, idk. But, it was to be looked at in order to determine whether or not they were going to be brought up on charges. The guy throwing punches was way the hell outta line. The other guy filed an untruthful report... now, he cannot be trusted.
They should be arrested for assault
HELL YES!!!
No charges equals no justice.
Fired just means they're moving to another police precinct so they can do it all over, again.
It happens all the time, horrible but true.
Shame
Pretty much.

Then they charge YOU with resisting in order to cover their butts.
The usual uniformed suspects at it again..finally fired , now needing charged and sentences handed out. Decertification in order as well to keep the lying shitbirds out of dealing with the public. Big breach of public trust.

These officers should not only be fired, but a lawsuit should be filed.
He was already giving up to the police by laying on the ground so what was the purpose of striking him. They should be fired and charged with assault
Grand jury is on it and a grand jury is more likely to charge.
The fact this surfaced due to a random review of body cams tells you all you need to know about this department.
It tells me that they don't just assume everything is hunky-dory unless somebody complains and actually will do audits and take action when they find a problem. That's a good thing.
@@cymeriandesignsNo. They should review all the body cams where there's violence involved!! automatically
@@maxxcarver5502 agreed. And the review of these "where there's violence involved" should be done by an independent group.
@@maxxcarver5502- I don’t know, with departments all across the country so short for manpower I don’t know that having someone watch body camera footage is really the best use of resources.
You ever been to Atlanta.tou don't have a clue what goes on there
Why didn't the police chief arrest and charge the cops for the felonies that they committed? Trash.
So that they can find work at a different police department.
The Chief actually did the right thing. He turned the case over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) an independent agency instead of leaving it to his own Internal Affairs. Though it did look as if Internal Affairs agreed with his assessment. The GBI turned their findings over to a grand jury which hopefully one of the officers is indicted.
Do you really want the police to investigate themselves and clear the cops like usual? Or a grand jury of their peers to rule? We all know the history of police investigating themselves
@@mitchy2311 For the most part I agree with you. The GBI is considered any outside agency. The same agency that investigated the Ahmaud Arbery case and arrested his murders after local agency wouldn't. A grand jury is made up of civilians not of their peers.
@@DJ-Everydayindependent ?🤣🤣GBI are still blue line 👮🏻👮🏻👮🏻
The fact that some members of the department didn't support the termination speaks volumes about the culture of the department. They should've been fired, charged, and stripped of their certifications.
No amount of training can turn an evil person into a good one.
The fact that other officers in the department didn't agree with the officers being terminated for Assault and Battery and Perjury tells you all you need to know about the morals and ethics of the majority of cops.
And those are the “good” cops.
They are part of the problem with back to blue till your black and blue.
What do you expect from a criminal gang that “investigates” themselves!
I mean, this came up from an internal investigation. Supervisor was spot-checking footage. Yall hate all cops, even the ones trying to hold them accountable.
Like the Israelis
But they didn’t
Well, they investigated themselves and found their officers were wrong. But once the investigation did its job correctly.
@@RobertO-vu4xbof course, since they are trained by them.
Everyone in that department that believed they shouldn't have been fired needs to be fired also and investigated for abuse.

How do you know if he had a firearm? An anonymous call?
They should start removing police cert when they get fired.
Those officers LIE ON REPORTS; everyone they’ve arrested should be released; everyone they’ve ticketed should have their money returned and driving record corrected!!!
It's quite comment n for the police to lie in order to justify themselves. Sad but true.
nice little foray into fantasy land.

Lying is considered a virtue in modern law enforcement.
@@kenhawkins1033it's also a virtue of criminals and most people on the planet. Do you have any other revelations?

Assault, kidnapping, lying (perjury), no charges? no jail time? Just fired & probably moved to another department.
No justice for the victim and no promise of "serve & protect" for other citizens. Police reform is required & essential.
Holy crap. What other cops in the department thought those cops should Not have been fired? They should be in jail.
Those other cops should also be fired.
Exactly.
Any cop who thinks these guys should still be cops should have been fired already, they are broadcasting their intent to be corrupt and this destroys public faith in that department. I would like to see all of the residents of a town join in and sue their city for hiring bad police and endangering the citizens at the hands of sicko criminal cops.
It's consistent with assault! Charge him! To the full extent of the law. Camera would suggest a jury of his peers would find him guilty.
they’re taking it to a grand jury, which means a group of our peers (non cops) will determine whether there is enough evidence to press criminal charges against one or both men. but i have really would not be surprised if it doesn’t happen considering how fucked up cobb county is
And they have no clue why they keep going to funerals.

All of these police officers should be in prison for not only the cover-up but the salt, the lack of human respect and the civil rights violations this is disgusting
Good for the supervisor for finding this, and good for the chief for firing both officers.
A detainee will instinctively cover their face if an officer immediately starts punching their face. If you want a detainee to comply with placing hands behind their back don’t continually punch them. Now it appears cops can’t charge, without evidence, for the original detention resulting in the bs resisting when the detainee was merely protecting himself.
I totally agree, but that would require a police officer to have the minimum of intelligence to understand that, and here's the problem.
Yeah, I don't get that part. Who doesn't resist pain?
So let me get this straight. Dude was proned out and was compliant but was still charged and still has that charge pending? Seems like the DA is complicit in this crime as well.
Thank you Journalists! We appreciate you.
As soon as you lie about what happened you are not long a trustworthy person and should be fired, Not transferred
When a cop BLATANTLY lies on a police report every single arrest he’s made should be under review. “Maybe I should have used another word besides tackled” . What he wrote was a deliberate and egregious lie to justify breaking a man’s nose. Cops were called because two men were open carrying? Either we have 2A or we don’t.
FIRED!!!! Why they not charge with assault? Thata the charge he would gotten if he beat the cops. So if cops found guilty then why charges not file as well.. But those cops out patrolling in another county somewhere. 🔥 🇺🇸
At long last, police investigated police and did find wrongdoing. Cobb County is setting the accountability standards that the rest of the country should be following. Sadly these cops will just go to the next jurisdiction and get jobs there.
Excessive force should have never been used.
They should have ZERO control or access to their body cams. They shouldn’t be able to turn them off, mute them, or be able to access the footage.
wtf is the point in having them if they can do that?
It’s lunacy!
Seems like lying on a police report would be a crime of some sort, there’s definitely an assault occurring on video and more than two cops involved in the assault as well as the cover up. Bare minimum consequences for cops as usual. These two violent gangbanger cops will be working in the next county in no time.
They need to be in jail. They beat up an innocent man and they lied about it.
"Spot checked bodycam footage". I bet if you ACTUALLY watch ALL bodycam footage you'd find 1000's more situations like this. 1000's.
I hope the good cops who released this video along with the one being interviewed in this story aren’t discriminated against by the rest of their gang for doing the right thing.
Cops like these should be in prison.

And justice still has NOT been delivered. This was assault and battery. Those officers should be charged not just fired so they can go get hired again or somewhere else.
He was already on the ground, then they started punching him right away after making their approach and contact with their suspect, then pulling him upward from his body torso, while bending and torquing his legs behind his back, essentially torturing him.
Update. They were not fired, they resigned before they could be fired. So unless the DA charges them, they are free to go to another department.
This is why police officers need liability insurance.
They should have been jailed!
Lying and punching someone for no reason. And some police officers feel that those officers shouldn’t have been fired. That’s says a lot about those officers. Smh
Terminated today and hired the next day in anouther county, the vicious cycle. They call it justice.
DECERTIFICATION SHOULD BE...The results of ANY officer knowingly falsifying a police report. Anything less is endorsing the actions of lying/fabricating law enforcement criminals.😮😮😮
Desertification, jail time, and not allowed to work in in public funded job, loss of any retirement,
And put on the Brady list and never work in any form of public service ever again.
Criminal conduct, but as usual, not one cop was arrested
Thanks to this video, the two Authoritarians not only lost their jobs in law enforcement but they also earned themselves a permanent ban from ever working and living in public everywhere for aggravated assault on a minor, violation of civil rights, violation of human rights, violation of police academy training, violation of police department policies, violation of police department practices, violation of police department procedures, violation of city laws, violation of state laws, violation of federal laws, and violation of the Constition of the United States of America.
At least the Chief showed integrity by immediately terminating their employment. Hats off to you, but to lie on official documents, Is perjury. No need to drag your feet, during the investigation. Suspects are charged immediately once PC is established.
The young black man was not resisting and had no weapons with him, he was on the floor with hand stretch out giving up. The officers were wrong and should not have beaten and injured that young man. The officers should be charged for unnecessarily causing that child harm.
It's pitiful that the suspect was screaming don't kill me. So sad. The police need to be policed

Please follow up and let us know how this all plays out. They might've had legitimate concerns about a firearm but the guy is laying on his stomach with his hands out. Would he fire a gun with his mind?? It shouldn't take this long to convene a grand jury. If anyone from the general public had beat someone up, they'd be arrested and charged within days. They are giving this "cop" time to get a lawyer and get his story straight. He assaulted a member of the public and then him and the other cop lied about it. They had never been challenged on the other “stories” they had told before. They weren’t expecting their story to be challenged this time.
Fired means absolutely NOTHING! We want charges and jail time. This was lying, assault, brutality.
Police have to face consequences for their actions.
We need an independent audit review board for ALL police body camera footage. Every word, minite, and action.
Just remember, it's 90 percent of the cops who give the other 10 percent a bad name.
90% is being generous more like 99.9% give the .1% a bad name but a good person definitely doesn't wear that trash bag they call a uniform
Sorry, that 10% are no longer cops because they realize how corrupt this system is and they don't stick around long enough to change it. No doubt a lot of people go into policing for noble reasons, but they don't last, because they're either attacked and forced out when they try to uphold legal and ethical standards against their corrupt colleagues or they resign in disappointment when they realize how corrupt American policing really is.
Also, members of that 90% are running these departments. You can be a great cop among the 10% but it doesn't matter when most of those above you are as corrupt as this.
Where are the “good 10% ? “
Termination is not sufficient, they should be charged with assault and battery.
