I love how the internet makes everything from yesterday and today all feel like it’s happening at the same time right now forever. I can see some Wanda I didn’t catch before, and love it like it’s new.
This was my introduction to Wanda Sykes, so it's interesting revisiting it knowing that at the time she was in a straight childless marriage and is now in a same sex marriage with two children, makes some of the jokes now extra funny like the bit about how men liking seeing two women together, but she would never want to catch her husband with another man.🤣
It makes want to clime thru my lappy and whisper in her ear -- "hey Wanda , in 15 years you are going to come out, marry a French woman and have 2 white kids AND BE A FRIGGIN SUPERSTAR"... I LOVE HER and everything she stands for. Still kickin it in 2024. I would love to see her impersonate KH... SHE NEVER SOLD OUT - she is authentic as she ever was. Sadly she had to hide the fact that she was gay. So happy the world is more accepting. AND IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT IT - GET OVER IT. She isn't hurting anyone - just living her life.
This is exactly why I don't accept drinks from men. They're not doing it out of the kindness of their hearts, it's not a gift. There's always going to be strings attached, and it's not worth it.
