Great video, most of the garage door operators I have wired have a low voltage relay switching for the push button controls. Usually operating at 24 vac.
Yes, that's another option. I may include switching relays in general in a future video. In fact, it's on the list to be done now, Thanks for the prompt. Dave.
@@learnelectrics4402 hi I have a roller door motor with 4 wires earth, neutral, black, brown I power direct onto the brown and black and nothing happened and idea what's up, it was working with a key fob with a receiver but thst gave up, I tired to wired it direct with power, will I try a a new keyswitch
Could you perhaps do a video on wiring an electric door with a red/green button control switch and through an audible beacon too that would keep sounding whenever the door is left open Many thsnksn
Jake, you should be able to pick these parts from the wholesalers. A magnet door clamp and switches to release the door and a magnetic contact switch as used in burglar alarm circuits to detect when the door is open. Thanks for watching.
Who'd have thought, the self fit roller door I just fitted has ZERO wiring diagram! So I have a key switch with two micro switches within the box. No clue which of the 4 terminals does what!
Ah, cool! 👍
Something a bit different! 😎
Oh and definitely bookmarked your website and passing it on to the lads.
Keep up the fantastic work!
