You know, before the album was out there were genre labels for all the songs, and there was a "progressive metal noodling one" and an "industrial thrash metal" one. I always assumed One Wish was the noodle one and Everchanging was the thrash one, but now that it's out One Wish has thrash, and Everchanging has noodling. Was that how it always was?
ganondorfchampin I didn't expect Everchanging to be as noodly, that was mainly Nick's contributions, so yeah that was the Thrashy one, whereas One Wish has always been the key progressive metal one. Then again, a lot of the songs on Everfree have thrash elements in them (hell, Metallica was a huge inspiration, as were bands like Mastadon, Gojira, Devin Townsend, and the like), so yeee
To be honest I've been looking at ESP lately for bass stuff, 'cause i'm a big fan of their overall quality and feel (especially in their fender-styled basses and their Eclipse or EC guitars). i personally really like PJ pickup configurations on a Jass bass or similar body, and lately i've been kinda digging maple fretboards for bass, tho my standard tuned one has a rosewood fretboard which works pretty well for more mid-rangey stuff. Also, if you're interested and on facebook, myself and my guitarist both like to nerd out about gear on our facebook fan page (facebook.com/tarbyrocks), and if you have any speficic questions or suggestions or just wanna talk about stuff you can always leave a comment or PM us wherever.~
Sorry I keep coming back to this album but I just recently noticed that the lyrics in the description are not 100% accurate. (this is actually quiet common for your videos, no offense) Do you wish people to point the mistakes out or should I just hold my tongue? Edit: Not saying they are wrong because I think they sound different, but actually comparing them to the lyric pages from the Everfree Album, they are different and I believe the ones in the Album images are correct.
That's surprising, the lyrics were taken out of the same document. If you wanna shoot differences/discrepancies my way, totally feel free to. I know a few misspellings/word changes are there for a reason, but not all of them are, and it's totally possible i missed something. Thank you! (and sorry for the late reply, for whatever reason i never got an email for this one)
@@TarbyRocks If you're still ok with receiving this information, I'm happy to oblige. I also want to try to sync the lyrics on MusixMatch. Songs from your album consistently end up in my top 100 each year on Spotify! +XLRider2 yeah it shares a few notes of the verse melody, i kinda wish i had caught that before releasing it 'cause now whenever i hear it it bothers me
+Tarby's Basement When I made that comment, I was merely pointing out a similarity. In my opinion it's still one of the best songs on the album, and that accidental melodic interpolation makes it even more charming to me. Keep up the fantastic work Tarby!

Fuck, I love this song. Listened it too many times since it was released.
My second fave from the album, probably. Great work dude.
And my first favorite.

Yo Tarby, what would be your guitar/bass of choice? For me it would be a Fender Jazzmaster (guitar) and either a J Bass or a decent Ibanez Bass.

Kyubey's song?) Lmao
Guess I am not hard enough for the trash metal parts, but I like all the other parts.
My thoughts exactly.
There is a teaser version without the middle in the interview "Tarby Girl", you can go google that.
Does no one notice the similarity to Magic Man by Heart
