Also important to consider is that Palantir's average daily volume for the last 30 days has been 91,000,000 shares. Given the QQQ is roughly buying half a day's volume sometime between when they knew PLTR would be part of their offering and the 23rd, it could in fact be they have already acquired a considerable number. They probably own a bunch of call options as well.
Yes, the high daily volume makes the buy less significant. I don't think they can use call options or buy anything in advance though. 99% of the funds capital must be invested in the index each day.
It will be interesting to find out. Certainly a positive over the long run. PLTR average daily volume runs close to 75 million, so you would need the QQQ plus a positive trend to make a substantial daily move, imo.
Couple things... QQQ position does not begin until Mon 12/23 PLTR volume on 12/19 was 109,643,381. My projection of 43 million shares represents less than half of today's volume. If the price continues to drop through Monday, the actual QQQ buy will be less than my projection.
When a stock get included it don't just explode in price because of the passive funds buying up. It's only on the original announcement we see a big gain in the shareprice. I have never seen that happen. Just see the current price action as of yesterday. -3,87% as of 19th December because of the FED meeting, (Crazy that the market thought otherwise, economy was booming of course the rates would be kept higher for longer) My take is that the price will not move substantially because of this index inclusion. That's my take. Everybody is selling PLTR right now because it's way too hyped so it's an easy way to unload at current valuations. PLTR down around 50% from current levels. Around 40$ a share is my bet.
Haha. How wrong you are. You stuck in old ways . You missing the big picture as are many of the haters. Palantir will re define the warfare. They are cutting edge. Not boots on ground anymore. Autonomous. Software. You can put Valuations on this. AI.
Clearly you haven't done research on this company so let me help you -monopoly -no debt -in the government over 20 years as a defensive sector -used in war -increased clients over 5 times than what they had before - Microsoft bought under them -Can be used in anything that uses software and makes it more efficient in breaking down information Added into s&p 500, nasdaq, nasdaq 100 within 6 months - front runner for ai
@@rosellendawg - Chrisja isn't saying anything negative about PLTR. He's just saying that the addition to QQQ may not move the needle the day it happens and that people may do some profit taking. He does say that everyone is selling PLTR right now which I don't know what he based that off. It seems fairly stable minus yesterdays's market freakout.

Great input, I was wondering how much to expect them to pick up and this is solid reasoning. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
PLTR $1,000+ per share by 2026 or sooner
Lol
What about the reoccurring buying? This should put the stock in a less volatile position.
For sure. It might take a couple months to settle into a true market valuation though.
The question is how much is this going to increase the price per share for Palantir?

@40finance what would you expect for close of the 3rd? My call is getting wrecked haha
How much of a consistent monthly increase will the qqq help Palantir?
They take their time buying new shares, not pressured to buy it right away
Let's be clear.. If you hoping to trade the price for a quick pop good luck lol
What about fractional shares?
Probably doesn't apply here due to the size of the order.
great stuff..... new sub 👍
If there’s lots of buying as per this video …. Why has it been dropping and showing constant red sell offs
