Currently, there are Supreme Court Justices who have done similar things for years! SCJ Thomas did not report real estate gains years ago. After it was discovered, Thomas claimed it was an oversight. There was another time when his spouse made additional income that wasn't reported. His absentmindedness always benefits him. Anyone else would be charged. As we keep finding out, the law is not applied in the same way to certain individuals.
