How is quazii such a good interviewer? Interesting and focused questions, doesnt interrupt but also keeps engagement and just the general vibe is always amazing.
Something I noticed with what he does, is he kinda warms up guests first with the easy/closer to heart questions. Then he hits them with the difficult questions later to extract value once they are warmed up. Like Growl says in this episode, he really 'extracts' the full value from each guests - and i suspect it comes down to him just being able to read people well. He's kinda like the Larry King of WoW at this point lol.
Bruh, right? This is the first one I’ve seen and I’m like dude, this is one of the best interviews I’ve seen in this kind of spectrum of content. The flow is great.
Just want to say thanks quazii for the elvui, plater, details profiles. I joined a dungeon on my alt that wasn’t setup and it was ridiculous how much of an advantage all the work you did for us is.
Zero to hero with Growl was one of the best series related to wow. I would wait for a new adventure upload impatiently. We, as a community, are so lucky to have him.
My man Growl that made me turn from dps to healing. And never turn back since. I learnt a lot from his videos. Theres nothing better than watching 2 legends talk about WoW.
I hit like as soon as I saw the thumbnail today - you are such a good interviewer Quazii; respectful and friendly, while always leading your guest into the next question and we benefit from learning so much about them. I'm barely 10 mins into this one and loving it so far, thanks!
Such a good interview (big fan of you both, Quazii your interview questions are on point) and fantastic tips! Will I remember them all right now...probably not, but hell of a resource to come back to and refer my group to. Thanks!
I will never let my friends behind. Just getting ksm and push as far as we can...but I understand when people have higher aspirations. But when you play with people since 12 years...man I could never let them behind.
I have friends who have said they don't ask me 'cause I always go "too far ahead", despite always having alts I play and need keys on. Like we don't have to go lockstep, lads. : (
I was doing a 10 dawnbreaker (we did not time it or even come close) but our tank was getting 1 shot by the beam sometimes because he didn't know he would be getting damaged from those beams. We assumed it was a bug but good to know its supposed to do that lmao.. After a couple times it happened we just started making sure he had a sac or some sort of cd up for it.
I like how Yumy aka growl mentioned bringing people willing to do whatever it takes, like stopping dps to decurse, or kicking, etc. So many people don't do any of that. I'll watch healers that can decure or cleanse a poison and they'll just spam heal through it, when they could've just got rid of it...and did some damage instead. I stopped giving advice to players, cause they act like rabid dogs that think they know everything.
The sad thing is that you don't even need to stop your DPS or healing to throw out 1 GCD that will either prevent someone from dying or save you having to spam heal them. Anyone who doesn't use their utility properly just is not a good player and won't do good damage/priority damage anyway. Other good players notice not when you're just pumping but when you don't die, you interupt, cc, dispell/cleanse etc whilst doing your basica job, damage
It's okay for people to play like that though, it's a game they can play how they want and if that holds them back, that's their problem if it even is one for them. It's never anyone's place to just start looking down on people and telling them what to do, especially if you're in the same key level. Climb another key level and find others to play with who share your mindset. If you're talking about people who only chase meters and are also toxic, then yeah, just add them to the ignore list.
Yumy definitely shouldn't let a face reveal hold him back from doing live events, imo the best way to go about it is don't even make a big deal about it, like yea, I'm here doing a live event, not a big deal.
I love that this has timing sections cuz you know I skipped that 40 min introduction about how to socialize and who growl is. No offense, but I did not care to hear about any of that. I just wanted one comprehensive m+ plus video
I love rpg's video games that can stand on it's own without addons. I played WoW from burning crusade to battle for azeroth. How much are addons expected for heroic raids statics premade groups?
They are not “required” except for a few rare instances where raid leaders want to use a unique Weak Aura to assign players to a hard boss mechanic on the fly (etc), but you’re definitely at a distinct disadvantage without them. Some weak auras are insane quality of life improvements that blizz will never invest the time to make so it’s also pretty fortunate that they allow it. But hell, there’s a popular completely deaf guild that completes heroic (and I think some mythic?) every expansion. They are at a disadvantage without voice communication but they make it work.
That’s a very low item level. You’re competing in group finder against many many higher item level applicants. That’s why people always say to “run your own group” because it’s true. You can’t be declined from your own group, you get to pick the people, you don’t have to lead the group (the tank does), and waiting for a tank and healer you like is a short wait in comparison to fighting with higher item level people for a DPS spot. Just be kind to yourself, reframe your anxiety about it into excitement, and go for it. Just stay open minded and choose to do things differently than you used to do them.
All of wow is sweaty, pvp doesn't even seem that sweaty compared to rest of wow...if anything, the pvp community is pissed off, from being shafted or put on the backburner for every single expo since like tbc/wotlk, and maybe cata.
As someone new to Wow, I couldn't disagree more. The difference is that PvP adds an element of toxic ego energy. Instead of people trying to figure out how they can personally improve, it turns into blaming their teammates for their mistakes
The reality is that toxic people are attracted to PvP because their ego wants the satisfaction of outplaying a person. The thought of coordinating with a regular group of friends that helps improve the weakest link to overcome mechanical challenges is probably like eating a bowl of nails for them

He's intelligent, aware and present. Just a hunch.

It's because he's so humble.. He can really understand the mind of a player struggling to learn m+, despite having played m+ at the highest levels!
Hello Growl and Quazii, this is friends!
This is not a kelani video, calm your tits
Just want to say thanks quazii for the elvui, plater, details profiles. I joined a dungeon on my alt that wasn’t setup and it was ridiculous how much of an advantage all the work you did for us is.
It really is.

Don't forget Growl's rise to fame in the infamous: "look at the numbers Grom!"
Hello Growl, this is friends.
This is exactly what i needed. Thank you for always providing top tier content Quazii, and Yumy is a perfect guest for this kind of content.

What if ur friends couldnt even get ksm
This was so good! Very well done gents!
We loved this you know that. You ask really good questions. Can tell the interviewer has played the game a lot
Now that he said it, I want Growl to cast the RFW, or the MDI. Like really! He would give a fresh view!
This collab makes me so happy, thank you ❤
I like this "Man interviewing a talking cat wearing a waffle" kind of podcast.
Thanks Quazii for your work, always on point.

Great interview, great break downs, thumbs up.
If you never play off-meta, you never learn why the meta exists, and when it might make sense to deviate in your specific group.

I agree… it’s ok if people know what you look like, it’s just a rare thing. Then you go back to your comfort zone. Thats just healthy boundaries.
@quazii u should interview this.metronice guy growl is talking about. Ivw bin watching his stream foe a while and hes a respectable good player.
