Rickshaw Gump in 2019 came by our Native American reservation in Gallup New Mexico on Route 66👍 We are from the Navajo tribe and are honored to have met him, he inspires us still.
Suzuki san. International traveler. 32y/o successful businessman. (He owns and rents out 4 rickshaws. ) not your ordinary "sarari man". He knows what he wants and knows how to get it. Misa-chan. 28y/o, manages & assists rickshaw drivers of the Tokyo Rickshaw Co. She works hard to attract tourists to Asakusa. She has taken us around Hoppy st., helped their local geisha by getting her to ride around with JE, Got their local rickshaw Taiko group on YT. A wonderful trait of the Asakusa business community is their helping each other. I guess you noticed Tera-chan giving out discounted cards of local shops to their riders. Rickshaw drivers point out specialty shops ( where to rent kimonos, delicious tempura, drinking sopts, etc.) They even advertised the movie "Asakusa Kid". Now, even local Japanese vloggers are taking note of their Asakusa rickshaw drivers. Surely, their vlogs will stir up interest among local tourists to ride. Let's hope their govt will lift their restrictions( up to Feb) to incoming tourists so they can enjoy the Asakusa rickshaws.
Wow Japan Explorer! You have become a true friend of these drivers. They are all so much more than rickshaw drivers. You are so much more than a videographer to them and us. I am happy that they enjoy sharing their life with you... and us as well. The drums episode and this video into his life here, are awesome for us all to see. He sees the Forrest Gump movie main character as motivation and inspiration, which a very positive thing, very wholesome. The young lady is so very sweet every time we see her. They are a great example for all young people to experience.
I've learnt about the Japanese tradition & language more from your channel than any other source. It feels like I'm roaming around with my best friends. Thank you for introducing different people through your channel JE!
Misa san, not just beautiful, but also hooking up JE with the tour of Asakusa, the Taiko drums and now Rickshaw Gump!! JE's life and content shot up after meeting Misa. Indeed, travel, it moves you!!!
He is absolutely a national treasure for Japan. I hope all of his future running with rickshaws around the world would be documented by Japan NHK Television. His philosophy on life is inspirational. I find it very interesting to see Misa san and him in the same episode. I don't know if NHK has ever featured a rickshaw business. It would be very special if they do because the world needs to see Japan through the life of these rickshaw drivers. They are the best ambassadors Japan would ever have - hard work, patience, service-oriented, attentive, polite, friendly, teamwork, appreciative... all in one package.
Inspiring to hear his story and see how satisfied he is with his life. I have met so many wealthy people who are miserable compared to this gentleman. Makes me inspired to do what makes me happy, not what makes other people "happy".
What a brilliantly inspiring person. It's the quiet, happy people like this I strive to be. Bet he rarely if ever says a bad word about anybody, has time to gossip or insult/be offensive. Just living his life to the full.
He's so passionate and enthusiastic about Rickshaw that he's made it his lifelong career and devotion. I wish to meet him when he comes back to USA. Please encourage Suzuki-san to host a fan meet.
Wow. This guy is something else... So much energy & honestly speaking, an inspiration for young people like me. Hope that we can meet someday, somewhere on the road! 🤞
Humble and Proud is the vibe i get from him , Also he would be / is a good mentor . I have always wanted to visit Japan and travel around . Now in my 50's i feel it should be sooner rather than later . But being single and disabled ( legs dont work very much ) i will have to look in to it a bit more but your channel is making me more determined than ever . Keep up the great video's and content fella . From Wales UK .
He is really positive and fun to watch. But I thought he was a couple with the girl so was surprised at the end when he said he was single. She seems really kind and supportive of him. I am new here so maybe I don't know the history. But I wish them both happiness for their goals.
so happy that you finally got to meet & hangout w/ *Mr. Yuji Suzuki* ... he's such a cool person. i've been following him on *Instagram* for 4 years (since 2019). i originally heard about him on another *RUclips* channel (possibly from *Ed Pratt* when he cycled around the world, but i can't remember) also, the story of how he meet *Mrs. Otoshi Misato* - & how she decided to join him in *Tokyo* - was super cute.
Suzuki-san is a really interesting guy, as well as funny. How a movie has inspired his current life and his passion for running, in his case using the Rickshaw. And that inspiration has made his life a permanent adventure. Impressive. There are few guys with as much determination as him
What a great dude! His determination is inspiring to say the least. And i really love the politeness and the positive energy that Japanese people exude...
Favorite movie of all time. Forest Gump. Sadly I can't run. Bad legs to many motorcycle crashes. But you inspire people to be better. Your a blessing. I grew up on a air force base in yokota Japan in 69 to 73 .love this channel and all of your rickshaw family. Especially love every rickshaw girl you have shown.

This should get the same amount of views as the cute girls because this guy is amazing, like kind of a legend, really loved seeing all his trophies and memories
An interesting deepening exploring Japan behind the screen of Japan Rickshaw...Suzuki san, Misa san as well...what an amazingly!. Thank you Gentleman Japan Exploring.
It was wonderful seeing your series of rickshaw drivers and their lives. To see the inspiration for Misa san and the group he calls family be inspired to feel dreams can be real, I thought is a lasting legacy. Suzuki san, your story is an amazing one and a beautiful one. I don't know if you ever heard from Tom Hanks, but I'm sure he would be very proud of you for this, and I'm sure he knows about it! It is something that you also remind people of, Everyone has a story, we just need to find people who will listen and respect it. Very inspiring Rickshaw man!! ☺️✨ It's so funny when he said 'I'm making the rule of Rickshaw in other countries'🤣Good luck to him! It seems Rickshaw women & men are so passionate about their job.😊
Hi Lemi. Truly, Suzuki san a successful businessman at 32y/o is very inspirational. Btw, why not ride their rickshaw and post your experience on your channel. Your vlog will surely help their rickshaw drivers by attracting more tourists to ride with them. Thanks.
Another great content, thank you JE. Suzuki san is philosophical and full of wisdom. I am following his channel and watching all his videos. Respect to this rickshaw rider 👏👏
Suzuki san is amazing! Misa san too! He will be famous now. When he comes back to America, lots of people will meet up with him along his journey. He will be just like Forrest Gump! Much respect to Suzuki and Misa!

What a great guy. My mom’s hometown is Asakusa but she’s been living in Bangkok for 50 years. I took her to Asakusa every year. I saw rickshaw guys/ girls all the time but had interest in them. After watching this vdo, I would definately look for this guy and talk to him. I admire his passion. The story how he met Misa san is also super cool.
OMG... This guy is just amazing!!!.. Cool and with sense of humour. Lol. Biiig respect for you Suzuki san. You're really Gump.. And Misa san, well... Like I guessed, she's so much more than sweet giggles.. Honestly, I would fall for her. 😁

Amazing individuals like Suzuki san aren't too many in this world. I enjoyed every minute of this video 🙏😊
