- Despite an aggregate haul of 17 Champions League titles, this Saturday's final will be only the sixth time Real Madrid and Liverpool have met in a competitive fixture.
One of their most memorable matches came in the Round of 16 of the 2008/09 season, Liverpool humbling Madrid 4-0 at Anfield thanks to Gerrard, Torres and Dossena goals.

Really sad that English people didn't appreciate Gerrard enough simply cause he play for Liverpool and not won any EPL title. Gerrard is one of the best English footballer in his prime, and the most loyal and passionate leader in football. Many European giant club want Gerrard in their side in 2000s, and he could potentially win any big trophies and awards he want, but he choose to stay loyal for Liverpool, the club he love with all his heart. I think English people should put some respect on Gerrard name, he is the real figure of INSPIRATION in world of FOOTBALL that is rare to find.
Lots of great memories from Torres at Liverpool, but it was that first goal in this game that always seems to come to mind. Happy Retirement Fernando!

His shooting skills and how intellegent player he is are underrated. Just look his pas to Crespo in UCL Final. Phenomenal. So Kaka would be the best player im the world nowadays.

Ricardo Káka was so nimble and ferocious on the ball. His body feints when he recieved posession of the ball 😢🤯 MY WORD. He didn't force anything because he read the game so well. Players like KDB and Bruno feel almost stiff in my opinion (even though KDB is a powerful player than Poono) even he can't compare to the imagination of Kaka's football brain.
The only player that could rival him was D. Silva
I mean guys like Sheva, Crespo, Inzaghi, were so privileged to have playmaker of that ilk.
