    Depends on the song. Different guitars for different parts. Thats why we need one of each 😉

    I hardly ever comment on videos, so many videos doing the same thing. But you mate.... what you did here is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!! really good comparison, straight to the point and clean cuts! Exactly what people need to listen to, to make the "right choice" for what they are looking for, very helpful. Thanks for that.
    I think every guitar has its own personality and I think each one of them has space. It really depends on the sound you need for a specific song.

    i like tele's steadier tone and PRS' brightness. but i have to say that each one "shines" differently depending on what the song requires, and this is what I find fascinating about guitars.
    suggestion: could you make a video comparing string sets? like different materials (i like nickel) and heaviness (i've always played with extra-light sets).

    Thought you might be interested in an interesting tip to consider. A goldilocks option that I have finally found is the PRS Tremonti Baritone Hybrid setup and tuned to standard with a pickup swap and rewiring for coil tapping. 25.5" scale, maple neck, and wraparound stoptail bridge gives it as much snap as a tele but the mahogany body, set neck, and single cut keeps the body of a typical PRS or LP. I have found this to be the best of all worlds option, for me at least, and negates the want to grab different guitars at times. Medium output pickups are ideal for the partial could tapping (e.g. BKP True Grit, Holy Diver, Polymath).
    This was a great and helpful video and so was the PRS coil tap vs tele video too.

    The main flaw of PRS is that there are no flaws. Now I only have a PRS, all Les Pauls were sold because of their large weight, but now I came to the conclusion that PRS is like an excellent student at school, it seems to be a fine fellow, but at the same time it does not have extremes in the form of telecaster glass or the curliness of Les Paul. Somebody tell me with what pickups it is possible to allow the PRS to play diametrically opposite roles at the same time? I don't want to have in the arsenal Les paul + Telecaster instead of one favorite PRS.

    I can hear a real difference, this is surprising 😮 I prefer the sound of the PRS even if I can't explain why ^^

    The Gibson was my favorite because the humbuckers are always good for playing distortion and cleanly because they seen to pick up more of the low end of the notes

    • @LonnyEagletonMusic
      @LonnyEagletonMusic  3 года назад +2

      True! The Gibson definitely has the most bottom end out of the four. Great for heavy gain and metal, or for those beefy clean tones.

    How do you know it's gonna be a good video? When the first riff that's played is "Message in a bottle" that's how, haha! All those were good tones and each definitely suits certain styles/ riffs. I'm a have to go with the Les Paul over all. It was a hard choice tho. But all 4 would be good to have in the tool box!

    • @LonnyEagletonMusic
      @LonnyEagletonMusic  3 года назад +5

      My favorite is always changing haha. I'll go through a phase of playing primarily one of them for a few months, then I'll switch to another, etc. It really depends on what kind of music I'm into at the time. For example if I'm listening to a lot of John Mayer then I'll reach for the Strat, or if I'm listening to a lot of country then I'll reach for the Telecaster... They're all great in their own way!

    All the guitars excelled at certain styles. But non did it like the prs, it basically could do everything. Although it doesn't produce the "iconic" sounds, it gets close enough to both sides. If you don't care about that, I'd still say the prs had the best all-round sound.

    Actually think the PRS comes out well here, literally halfway between a Strat and LP and very articulate.

    prs is better for me becuse a lot rock musicians used on this brand like adam gontier ex three days grace band and breaking benjamin used a bariton prs for the low sounds
    so i think prs is the best guitar brand that i know i used on prs santana custom guitar with billy lawrence pickups
