The concept of "Begin Again" is not covers per se. The idea is to take some talented musicians from Korea, put them together in a band and send them to do busking overseas where no one really knows them, so they get to experience starting from scratch again and foreign audience gets to see that SK has real talent to offer. It's a whole reality show with them gathering, rehearsing, traveling, living together and performing short performance sessions in different parts of the cities they go to. Taeyeon's team was in Berlin and Amsterdam. They do sing covers but they also sing their own songs both solo and as a whole band. The guy that did backing vocals for "Slow Motion" is actually a very famous singer in Korea. His name is Paul Kim and there were performances where Taeyeon did backing vocals for him, there were duets they sang and sometimes they were both back vocalists for other members of the team. The other members were - a well-respected singer-songwriter Lee Juck, - Jukjae, who's both a famous session musician playing at concerts of such artists as Taeyeon and IU but also a singer and songwriter himself, and - Kim HyunWoo - a member of a group Dickpunks - the only member of the team who wasn't technically a singer. It was a really wholesome show. It was refreshing to see Taeyeon being a maknae for a change. She was also really nervous and vulnerable but you could see her having more and more ease and fun as the show progressed. They filmed it in mid summer. There was that terrible heat wave, so they only performed in the evenings. There were no announcements of where they'd be performing next as the audience was supposed to be unaware of who these people were. Taeyeon's international fame did cause trouble in that department though as fans flew in from all over Europe and were scouting the cities in groups and catching quite a few of those performances.
