    Huge cue, not only did this fix my squat but it saved my lowerback when I worked on implementing it. Thinking about joining the Prime group coaching squad, love y'all.

      Hinging is so key for truly loading tension evenly through the lower half! Glad you had success with it and we’d love to have you man! Email me if you want a week sample of any of the programs

    Good tips man. I'm 6' 4" and always have to work to keep my squat form dialed in. Your elbows tight and parallel with the lats tip was a game changer for me. Keep on keeping on 💯

      Dude 6’2” plus is such a different squat reality than 5’8” LMAO I feel you. I’m only 6 and it feels hard sometimes

    Nice points on keeping a neutral torso position. Are walking lunges beneficial for a person who is above parallel at the bottom of a lunge? I can get more depth with front foot elevated split squats, but like the athleticism of walking lunges. My goal is to do things that carryover into my competition squat.

    • @BrendanTietz
      @BrendanTietz  2 года назад +3

      Totally has amazing carryover especially with glute stability. If you can stabilize via glute med/min on one leg it’ll be easy bilateral. However keep in mind the goal of adaptation via exercise selection. If you’re wanting squat strength carryover that’s different than strength and stability blend. It’s not as simple as say which is best, rather they’re tools to very specific goals. Since I do so much strength work already I opt for a lot of other adaptations with my accessory work

    Hey, Brendan. I’ve not followed this kind of stuff for a while, but I’m getting back into training and thus learning as well. Are you not on Instagram anymore? I’m trying to look you up but can’t find anything anymore.

    When I do bodyweight squats I feel no restriction at my hip. But when I put a bar on my back. It restricticts. Why ?

    whats up. before summet i had pretty bad nagging hip injury and working around that burned my intrest in to lifting and i have basically trained like a triathlete for these past 6 months. now it is winter in finland and im getting back to powerlifting as my hip has finally healed enough so i can squat. Any tips for the training from such a long brake?

    Solid vid as always. Any belt squat work lately?

    • @BrendanTietz
      @BrendanTietz  2 года назад +3

      Nahhh tbh it just bores me. Out of all the machines I actually like the hack squat/butt hack squat (where the pad rests on glutes/low back) more than the belt squat unless it’s a pit shark which are so hard to find. But I honestly just get bored doing machines lol
