So great to sketch alongside you Jane. I ordered (and just received) three different A4 sized watercolor sketchbooks, inspired by your work here and in your Patreon. Cannot wait to test them out using your tutorials!
Its wonderful to see your process. I started doing portraits in May of this year so it's very new to me. I often get hard on myself for not getting everything right in one go and my eraser isalways in use so its nice to see that even an art master like yourself uses the eraser. It shows me that mistakes are simple part of making art.
I am far from master but yes, I don’t hesitate to use different tools in my process. I get it why we should not use a calculator in math class but I dont think same applies in art, I don’t think the point is to create on the first attempt. Many thanks for your appreciation 🌞
This drawing is sooooo good. And what an amazing teacher you are. Im new at faces which is how i found you and your patreon. so im going stick with the feature studies for a bit. Ive only been painting for 10 months and ive only been drawing for 6 weeks. Im retired so i practice a ton every day. Ive never enjoyed a hobby so much. I can only hope to be half so talented as you eventually. Thank you for choosing to share your skills with the rest of us.
I recently found you and have been watching so many of your videos. You are such an amazing artist and an inspiration to me. Thank you so very much for sharing your talent and making these real time videos so that we may learn from your superb skills, knowledge and experience and of course your generosity.💜
Every time I watch you sketch, it makes me want to do it more often. So i'll be pulling out my sketchbook today and do some practices. Very lovely, Jane!!! Can't wait to see the paint process!!
Hi Jane, This is so pretty!!I really enjoy yr videos because they are very interesting and meaningful. Me too, I'm learning so much from all the processes. I'm so happy and love to be on yr Patreon where, like I already mentioned, you are so generous with yr contents beside watching you doing some magic with the watercolours, wow! Somethings I've learned from yr process is to built a good foundation sketch so after we can focus 100 per cent on painting and be patient:-) When I start a new sketchbook, I never paint on the first page, I can't:-) so I always write nice quotes about art or words of encouragement. It does the trick:) Many thanks for sharing!
I learned so much from your sketching process, if only I'd seen this sooner perhaps it could have saved the lopsided face I drew yesterday! Can't wait to see pt 2 for the painting! 🥰😄
that tip about defining some of the lines with the b pencil was super helpful! I hadn’t thought of that but it makes so much sense, thanks! this sketch already looks amazing and I can’t wait to see the painting part!!
that looks very nice ^_^ and the sketchbook also looks amazing. did you ever testet the perfect sketchbook from etchr? or the perfekt sketchbook signature edidtion?
Yes I bought a pack of 3 perfect sketchbooks in a smaller size and didnt yet have much time to review them..and than I forgot I had them :D This one I find a little more suitable to my needs, just because I know the paper.
@@VitasArtworks mine doesnt state that, only the parameters. I bought 3 years ago though. And didnt use those sketchbooks much. Time to change that :) thanks for the reminder ❤️
I have yet to do painting in it but I cant imagine what would destroy the positive experience I’ve had with it so far ;) that pink one looks great, too!
I can hardly wait! What a beautiful little girl! And an amazing artist 🎨!
Many thanks!
I’m so excited to see the second half of this process!
coming soon!
