Discover Finnish Lapland - Saariselkä

In January 2020, right before the worldwide crisis, we had an awesome journey to Saariselkä, Finland.
Saariselkä is located in the north of Finland and can therefore be called Lapland. This great place is famous for its endless amount of snow, which make Saariselkä a perfect winter destination.
During these fantastic days we did a lot of activities, such like riding a snowscooter. We had a blast at the Husky safari, did some ice-fishing, went fatbiking and did some skiing/snowboarding. The last evening we went for a snow shoe hike and got lucky: we saw the Northern Lights! Great to watch it dance' in the air and it lasted for almost an 5 minutes.
Despite I mostly filmed the activities, the video can give you an great impression of how a winter adventure in Lapland can be. It is wonderful!

What month did you travel there? Was planning late November but they said daylight is only 5.5 hrs

Hi can you share the clothing tips to keep warm outside? Also where did you guys stay?

Hi Beby,
I think some thermo clothing and a ski suit will do the job. Snow boots and some good gloves are recommended. We stayed at some lodges, but I don't know the name anymore. Have fun!
