I just broke down and purchased Gecko Rouge's "The Mad Hatter", but that will be started way down the line. I only do 2 wip's at a time, because I don't have a whole lot of time to stitch everyday, and spending an hour a day, I do feel like I am accomplishing something. Hmmm... I do the 10x10 blocks all the time, and I have never had any type of visible line, so not sure why that is happening. Might be how our tensions are? No clue. I have worked on all fabric counts (10 through 28) and the older these eyes get, the less the 25 & 28 become doable. The Mad Hatter is a 25, and I think that will be my last at that fabric count. I can get in a lot of trouble on Heaven and Earth Designs, as they have some of my favorite artists on that site. However, I have so many patterns now (none have been started) that if I purchase one more, I have officially become a pattern hoarder. I'm about one pattern away from being on an episode of "Hoarders". They will find me buried beneath a mound of paper, and floss, clutching my latest purchase, mumbling "just one more, and that will be it". You are doing beautiful work, and enjoy watching the progress on your amazing projects.
Hello! Thank you so much. Oh my word, I can tell you now that I will be on the Pattern Hoarders episode after you hahahahaha. Fantastic GR purchase, I love that one! Two wips sounds entirely sensible!! x
Love your new kits! I have Lorna Laine’s flamingo which I’ll get to one day. Your Alice looks great! My happy place for full coverage has been 25ct 1/1 full crosses for a while, but I’m also dabbling in tent stitch too. I’ve decided to do 2/1 tent for the background of my enormous piece, in the hope that I can one day finish it! That’s on 25ct, but I’m also trying it out on 28ct for whole projects. I think for really dark pieces (darker than your Alice background) the fabric can show through more on the 25ct, but for the light areas it is perfect. I haven’t reached the point of washing a tent piece so can’t comment on if it shrinks etc. At the end of the day when it’s framed and on the wall, we’ll never scrutinise it as much as we do while stitching, so it is probably fine...Happy experimenting!
I just checked this and none of my comments for this video have saved! I did a long reply too!!! I will check out your new video, which I have saved on my list to see your progress. And you're right, no one but me will see the back at the end of it lol. Xxx
I think your tent stitch on 25ct looks beautiful!
Thank you so much! Can't wait to get her washed and framed!
