I always forget how small the sets actually are as they look huge in the film from the view of the characters. It is weird we've got the behind the scenes before the film though
Yup, though weirdly I think they'd look bigger than you'd expect in person, as opposed to this footage. I thought it was a bit odd too, but there you go!
@SomeBoiOnline yeah, I suppose the scale of the sets is something you'll always be surprised about unless you're actually there. And perhaps some intern at Aardman thinks they've released the film and doesn't know he's soon to be fired
This is so cool! I would love to see an Aardman behind the scenes concept book with all the different armatures and concept arts/designs or unfinished projects just to see more what its like behind the scenes - I have something like that for Ford cars and its really interesting to find out gow they design and make all their cars ... I don't know why this popped into my mind but it would be cool i think !
This was a fun watch, thanks. It's interesting to see what people outside of the production see when they view stuff like this. The young woman in the penguin enclosure was part of the set dressing team, and the guy in the cap stood at one of the animation computers works in the cameras department.
Seeing how the intro to VMF will be so similar to how the other films started gives me SOOO much hope for this film!! (not that I didn't have any lol) ALSO OMG I NEVER NOTICED THE FIRST CLIP WITH THE NEWSPAPER PHOTO!! This was a great breakdown!! 😁🧀 Edit: This sequence at 9:36 INSTANTLY made me think of the train chase (ifykyk), because the bathroom set is VERY long, and I remember in the Aardman documentary, A Grand Night In (I think that's what it's called ;-;), there was a part with Gromit on the tracks, with again, a long set of their house. I'm not sure if anything can top the train chase, but it would be really cool to see that kind of parallel to that scene in this film!! :D
Vengeance Most Fowl will be such a good installment. Though I wish it went to movie theaters , from what the behind the scenes is showing us is a movie that deserves a theater, this looks large scale, cinematic. At then end of the day its looking promising. Can't wait what feather's been up to! all these years later? Also I wish you all the best❤
Ngl I feel kinda cool to be the only American excited about this. I don’t know why my house had their short films on VHS or who got them, but I watched them and loved them. Can’t wait to relive a part of my childhood.
Wallace and Gromit is a wonderful series I always had a soft spot for this franchise :)
This should have been released in cinemas instead of Paddington 3, that felt like a direct to home media/ streaming film, whilst this feels cinematic
They should never have wigned a deal with Netflix. They could have been wirh another major distributor
@@kgs9243 it's premiering on BBC on Christmas Day in the UK
Its showing on the BBC where most people wil l be viewing from@@kgs9243
I think it's a bit of a shame when any movie isn't released in cinemas, as you'd always prefer to see your favourites on the big screen.
It's getting a limited theatrical run on the 18th of December, so if you're lucky you might still be able to see it!
The Gromit Mug lol
Wondered if anyone would comment on that 😂
If ever there was a company that I'd love to work for, it would have to be Aardman. Always using lighting creatively.
There is a very cinematic quality to this film in particular, and lots of that's thanks to some amazing lighting. Glad you pointed it out!
The 'test screening' is actually an animator's meeting where they review the week's rushes and go over any animation related business
Nice one! I wasn't 100% sure what the process was, but always nice to have some insight into production.

Ahh yes, Nick is pleased with the Gromit Mug on the screen lol
😂👌

I believe there is a "The Art of W&G: VMF" book coming out at some point!
@SomeBoiOnline oh wow I didn't see that!!
It says Nov 21st, so not be long now!
@SomeBoiOnline it's going on the christmas list 😏

Thanks Alistair, it's been equally interesting to see what the production team thinks of the videos. Appreciate the pointers!

I very much hope there's a scene that rivals the train chase in the new film! 😁
I’m 10 hours late but Sundays are my focus on yt and course work days but my wind down evening for this ! 🙌
Glad to hear it!

Thanks very much, it certainly does seem cinematic in every sense of the word!

You’re not the only one🗣️🗣️🗣️! I’m EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE!!!
Hopefully there'll be a lot more fans, as The Curse of the Were-Rabbit did pretty well in America all those years ago.

Finally, I was wondering which goes first for voicing animations.
It can be dubbed after, but that's usually the way it goes!
Amazing thanks you boi ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You're welcome!
Jeeeze 🔥🔥🔥
Some great stuff in there!

@@SomeBoiOnline Thank you, I wanted to listen to the recording scene.
No sound unfortunately, otherwise I would've included the small clip!
