PTX is simply brilliant
All the covers on their At Home EP are really great, especially considering that they were never in the same room together for any of them. The EP was done during quarentine - those that didn't already have them set up home studios, they arranged the songs together over Zoom, learned the software, recorded their own audio and videoed themselves and sent their files off to the producers et al to piece together. What you're seeing here are locations in their own houses.
My favorite from the EP is Billy Eilish's When The Party's Over. It was the one that kickstarted my obsession with PTX reaction videos a year ago.
Ironically their cover of When The Party's Over made me like Billy Eilish!

Glad you liked it! Mitch is doing the high tenor lead on this. He's great at giving his voice a little electronic-sounding edge. Yes, all the parts were shot in their home studios during quarantine. For example, you can clearly see that same wall of greenery in some of Scott's Instagram posts of his home life with his boyfriend Mark and their big fluffy dog. I gave myself a hard time about which version of this to download, the original or this cover, and in the end I went with PTX. They are amazing!

This is even better than the original from The WKND. Listen to the double beat boxing done by both Kevin and Matt. Matt doesn’t quite have the deep bass of Avi but he is so much more versatile. Avi barely beat boxed and couldn’t rap, at all. Matt is superb at both. I hate to say this as much as I liked Avi but Matt is a slight upgrade.
I think both have their perks. Regardless, I'm happy that things as they did.
