- Part 7 of my 2021 NMBR ride. This part covers the trip from the Lincoln National Forest to the end in Dell City, TX. It also shows the last bit of getting home to Lubbock.
Love all your NM videos. Thanks a million
Where's a safe secure location for storing truck and trailer while you're away doing the NMBDR?
That's the Cornudas Mountains you were looking at.
You may have a different opinion, but the route seems to be fairly tame when it's not raining. My wife doesn't like for me to go on most rides by myself, but I think I could manage this one solo.
Yeah I had great weather for the whole trip, and it was pretty tame. A little rain would certainly make for some interesting mud sections, but it was all dry for me. That being said, you do get to some pretty remote places. So if something does go wrong, you could be in a pickle. I always carry my Inreach so that I can signal help if need be without cell service. Plus it lets the folks back home stay in touch and track me via GPS. It gives everybody a little peace of mind.
Back on the tube!
What song is that in the beginning?

What was your favorite part/section of this BDR?
Hard to say...I really like the Gila Forest and the Santa Fe forest. Those are probably my favorite spots. Cibola was nice too and I did really like the campground I found there
So, did you not go do Colorado? We are looking to add to our group for NMBDR May ‘23 then the AZBDR soon after. We are right here in Midland; what made you decide to run north to south?
@@Empowered-ltc I wound up trading the Husky off after the trip for a new Honda. So, I put the Colorado trip off til this year...which I did do in June. I'm still working on getting all that video edited though
@@Empowered-ltc Also, I had a buddy that happened to be camping right along the NMBDR at the same time I was going through. Doing it North to South just made it work out, so that I could meet up with him for a few days.
Oh well that’s cool, I forgot, you did mention trying to find him before dark.
