although this cello does not have the power, resonance, projection and clarity of the Strad that Pablo now uses, I find its qualities, character and personality preferable to the tone of the Strad for this piece. For this same reason, Queyras also chooses his Cappa cello over other "more prestigious" instruments he could undoubtedly be using.
