Class 769 Onboard Engine / Motor sounds - Wednesday 23rd June 2021

Class 769s ahve recently been introduced into service on Southport services running to and from Alderley Edge and Stalybridge. These former class 319 units operate on 25Kv AC between Bolton and Allderley Edge / Stalybridge and using newly installed MAN Diesel engines that power the original traction motors between Bolton and Southport. In this clip we are in the leading diesel engine carrying coach of unit 769434 (Previously 319434). We are deaprting from Hindley station. You can hear tghe diesel engines and then the motors starting to scream a little from the motor coach immediately behind me. This was on board 2W10 11.50 Alderley Edge to Southport on Wednesday 23rd June 2021.
