- Child prodigy 9-year-old professor Soborno Isaac Bari will be bestowed with the Da Vinci Laureate by the Da Vinci Institute this week. Bari also known as the Eisenstein of our time is a professor who specialises in maths and science, he was born in 2012. He is an Asian-American author and the world's youngest professor. He is also nominated for a Nobel prize. We now cross to our reporter Mahlaku Komane for more.

Well, as long as his parents continue to nurture his passion and balance play and work (school) he will be extremely successful. His idea of starting off at grade eight is obviously his parent's idea as it gives him a chance to mature and play with kids who are of the same Emotional Intelligence as himself. Well done to his parents for doing a great job so far. Lets hope the teen years are equally successful.

I'm dumbfounded by the speed of his speech.. Obviously the spontaneity of his thoughts are way beyond his articulation ability. And he got the means to understand himself and the teaching methods around him.
I reckon this is the product of FETAL learning, which incorporated the passion and the material inside the 'virgin' brain of his. No question his parents were so happy about getting him into this world which nurtured his soul with love while his father was scribbling and fumbling with the equations on the board at home.. The presence of a fully devoted mother to her child besides her husband made most assuredly the fetus in her womb 'scream' with impatience to see this world & apply on it all the science already ingrained in it's tiny brain..

Why go to US universities? He already is revolutionary in his approach to math. He has more to give than he would receive. I think a competency based higher education would provide more fun and creativity. Imagine seminars and workshops for Math teachers and education ministry personnels! He would indeed be popular.
