Just in time for the release of the Anomaly DLC, here is the series finale! I hope you enjoy it - and are as excited as I am for the next (and final) chapter! ► Full Playlist: bit.ly/3F07o8p ► The first chapter of this story in the cold bog: bit.ly/3ZY1C0Q
Ellie has gathered up such an anime protagonist vibe. A hypercompetent girl of 13 with an adorable kid brother, accompanied by an ageless vampire steampunk tinker, a now-undying psycho combat master who just keeps showing up, and a newly minted fellow psycho with a rifle who doesn't get to the Cloud District very often. Off to confront the dangerous mysteries out of space! I could swear that anime ran for at least 2 seasons.
Maniac showing up out of the blue was hilarious as it was, and their weird journey going someplace even weirder and more dangerous with the Anomaly DLC, is very satisfying. Keep them kids safe, you weirdo.
This series was just... .... Nah, I don't have words. I'm just speachless. This whole series is a story. A magnificent story. Its hard to imagine that the whole story with Rimworld series started over 6 years ago, with Cambiar. Feels like yesterday.
"If I'm gonna be stuck with you for the foreseeable future, at least learn to speak properly instead of grunting all the time." Vullek to Maniac, probably, as they make their way out of the colony. I love your storytelling, Pete. Here's to a (hopefully) prosperous next adventure! Cheers! 🤜🤛
It was a nice playthrough and I'm looking forward to the transhumanist chapter. None of the previous playthroughs really showcased all of the advanced tech in RimWorld, and I want to see it used by a master.
Can't help but laugh at all the rhinos that have gathered into your doorstep for all the families you have nommed on. Also love how you described pawn#4's reasonings for leaving the colony with the destruction of their stuff. This has been a great series to watch, can't wait to see what the new band of pawns ideology will become (first a cult, then a benevolent brethen, then what?). Thank you!
I knew as soon as Maniac showed up in this series that he was going to be the link between all 3 parts of the Series. I was hoping Wyatt would be able to tag along with the group and I hate to see his story end (baring he pulls a Maniac - here's hoping) but I think your explanation of he really hasn't been like anywhere hes been, but now with the gift of being a Sanguaphage, he finally feels like he found a place that respects him to some degree is fitting end to his character. Can't wait to see what the future holds for new Colony Leader Maniac and his band of adventurers
Pete, I gotta hand it to you; not only do you produce wonderful entertainment, your establishment of a larger narrative in Rimworld is creative and exciting, and showcases the replayability of Rimworld. Truly, I appreciate every series you've done since I started watching you when you did the Icesheet Tribal challenge with Cambiar. Keep it up! :D
Great choice of colonists, and I particularly liked the way you went through and did a bit of a summary for everybody. I find it hard to keep track sometimes, but I trust you know who everyone is, so it's wonderful to have that reminder at the end. Looking forward to the next one!
Kindred at last! Sad to see Wyatt's story end but it feels right and damn if he isn't too powerful anyway. He must continue his beef with the rhinos here. Unexpected to see who all was accompanying the kids out but it was very cool that they walked off deeper into the mountain to make their exit, and I can't wait for the start of the next chapter! (and more Xcom 2 again)
Looking forward to the next series! I'm very happy with the colonists we will be starting with, Ellie and Elpis both have great potential with storytelling as such young people.
A bit surprising to see the guy that set more people ablaze than anyone else turned into a pyrophobe but what do I know 🤭 Was a thoroughly enjoyable series. Looking forward to new adventures
I may have completely overlooked that part... Well, the Believers of Boyo are all about suffering for the greater good, so he should make it work. I hope.
@@PeteComplete hahaha. You would have found out if he actually had gotten a hit in on any enemy during that last infestation and would have run to his Untimely downing and perhaps even death amidst 40 hives of giant insects hahaha
It makes sense though. Every kill he did with Redhawk makes him sad, right? Maybe the guilt turns into trauma turning him into a pyrophobe. The flames of every corpse he has slaughtered now haunts him.
Yeah, the "melee" fight between giant insects and elephants is hard to visualize "under the mountain". A good reason for this series to leave the jungle and royal elephants behind, before too many questions are asked. Definitely not Hobbit dwellings, though 😂
Imagine the path of technological progression a society must follow in which, after learning how to regenerate their bodies and carry out genetic modification, making carpets is the next big breakthrough.
I like the squad for the new series! I enjoy that Maniac will keep the search for the archinexus alive for all 3 series and being some of that cult of jingz memory with him, of course there is a but of cult of jingz in Ellie and Elpis as well being the children of Took and Skwiggs! Im glad light stayed to remain the leader of Boyo, as well as Took and Skwiggs. This colony really felt like the home they made and Im glad they decided to stay and let their children explore their own path! Really looking forward to the next series!
I’m so excited to see where this series goes into anomaly. Maniac showing up again at the start and now being one of the embarking colonists is such a good story. He’s gonna watch those kids well. I’m sad to see both the psycasters stay behind but I suppose there is always the chance to get more. I do hope you get the chance to use some of the mechintor mechanics in this next series. We didn’t get to see any of them in this one due to the tech requirements and I’m intrigued to see how you put them to use. I’m wondering if they will be used as base maintaining during the anomaly stuff so your people can focus on the spooky stuff. Can’t wait to see what comes next Pete and thanks for always making such great content!
I really look forward to the Rimworld videos and I am sad to see this series end, but I knew it wouldn't last forever so at least I got to enjoy your storytelling for a while longer. Randy Random can't touch a candle to your narrative. Maybe you'll be integrated into future updates of Rimworld. Your style of narration and gameplay is why it's difficult to see another series end, honestly. However, on the topic of ending... seeing the world come to a halt on a girl's 13th birthday seems exceptionally fitting. I'm sure hers did as soon as she hit the dreaded "teen torture".
Naseem seems like an odd, and dare I say boring choice, but hopefully he'll prove me wrong when things start up again. I did find this second leg of the journey to be more interesting than the first overall, however. Looking forward to the third!
Im with you. Never about him much during this series, but since he'll be with us at the start of a new journey, I am sure we will come to love him as we did with so many other pawns in other playthroughs!
We had to have Maniac. He's the crazy dude slapping around elephants and rhinos until they are angry. He just might want to get young again to take care of 2 young children and now he can't die on top of it. His story is easily my favorite. To think he might never have been in this part of the story if he just didn't show up for no reason. Well done with this. I think this is one my favorite series you did. You don't need to think of it negatively in my eyes
That series was as good as the other ones! Short and as you say transitional, but it played an important role to coherently bridge two different play styles, and it did it very well. I love that there's still a continuity to the initial series, I remember when I discovered it now years ago. You're one of only two let's players I don't miss anything from at this point, please keep going.
I liked this series a bit more than the original one, the whole Cult with trees seemed like a cool idea but at the end was just a cult of plants and repetitive tasks, (the scarification, the limitations on the tech, all things that you needed to plant, and more), in a way Royalty already made the whole Ideoligion more of the same. In that sense the DLC of Biotech added really great features that change a lot how you need to play the game, and how dangerous certain factions become with certain genotipes. The whole raising a child was really fun, like the whole mechanic looks really cool and adds a lot to the story.
I like that you played out the chapter to the very last day. It feels like a real story making decisions for a colony which would soon no longer be under your direct command. The Believers of Boyo should prosper on how well you left them off.
In the next series I'd like there to be less focus on psi skills as they seem to often trivialise encounters. The imp raid in the last episode was a rare threat and I'd like there to be more danger. You're too good at Rimworld, Pete :P
As with the first "season" of this series, I'm sad to leave this colony behind. Managed to get attached to this group of misfits. Thank you for all your work, Pete! Here's to an exciting conclusion of the story!
Entirely my own headcanon, but I love the thought of Wyatt being this absolute menace of an antagonist. Like, the only way he could become more capable of a fighter is if he went full cyborg. Someone who already has a burning passion for fighting, an inherited talent for fighting and enduring fights, an awakened psychic aptitude honed for fighting (and also word of joy), AND he's been genetically augmented to be an even better fighter and literally incapable of death. This makes me think, 1: he's this world's Adam Smasher in the making, and, 2: Rimworld needs a nemesis system. Mechanical musing rant below. I can only imagine the kind of greatness that can be achieved if Rimworld had a functioning "nemesis" system. It'd be tough to pull off without breaking balance, but if raiders had occasional supersoldiers akin to XCOM's 2's Chosen or Rulers? I would love to see something like Wyatt appear on the battlefield as basically this war chief/raid captain, terrorize your colonists for a bit, and then leave. It would betray the game's "cheap life" aspect a bit, but I think it would benefit storytelling in a huge way. Vanilla Expanded Mechanoids gave me a weirdly good motivator by naming its invading mechanoid faction's leader in each popup, for me it was a "Self-Reliant War Machine Mike", and I kind of learned to anticipate it like "What's Mike gonna throw at me today". In the same way, if war chiefs are allowed to flee, or if they are extradited via psychic skippers or some archite disassembly mechanism (akin to a vampire turning into mist), you'll now be expecting them to come back.
Such a great series! Looking forward to seeing an actual hi-tech colony next, I don't think you've actually ever reached the heights of space technology in the previous series
i actually had a tear in my eye at the end. ur way to tell a story is just beautiful. thanks for the great series, i am already hyped for the next one! cheers!
Fantastic story-telling, Pete. It occurred to me that the ideology of the believers of boyo 100% WOULD expect Squiggs and Took to give up their beloved children. *Chef's kiss detail* Really cool choices for their new guardians. Can't wait!

I started watching with the first episode of the cold bog, and my life has changed so much since then. Crazy to see how this series has grown alongside me.
I felt weirdly emotional to the conclusion of this series. I was not expecting to be as emotionally tied to the pawns as I ended up being. Thank you for this wonderful story, looking forward to anomaly!
another great series, Pete. Really looking forward to how this little group of 5, some of whom I've come to care so much about are going to continue on this epic arc.
I love your series and interpretations of why the pawns do what they do. Can't wait for the next one. I actually really liked this one. Maniac having to help lol
Wow, big week for the Believers. Pete thanks for these episodes, not to mention the polls, that was a lot to produce! Great, engaging end to this chapter - I'm very excited for what might be next.
I really loved the part where at the end they all shared a meal together, and at one point everybody left except for Light and Maniac (last leader to leader talk).
Good stuff, can't wait to see you play Anomaly and 1.5! I think the series picked up speed because you were actually doing more things per episodes and had a goal/deadline, compared to the vague "accumulate x amount of wealth" earlier in the this serie, where you would leave a lot of the action/decision making to the commenters, so a lot of story beats were not resolved when they arrive. Hopefully with the next series you can make more decisions again like you used to in the Icesheet serie.
Just in time for the release of the Anomaly DLC, here is the series finale! I hope you enjoy it - and are as excited as I am for the next (and final) chapter!

Maniac turning into the thread that binds the whole series together has been fascinating. And now he's blue!
Considering how many colonists Red Chapel had I would not be surprised if one of the left behind peeps shows up again.
@@caesarsalad77 Certainly not a very good fit for RED Chapel, at any rate!
Showing up out of the blue to becoming blue. A very interesting story indeed
Well.... we had our Red Chapel colonist appear in the Anomaly series already... though not the way we thought we would.
Very fitting ending with Vullek belittling Maniac. LOL
This cracked me up, the fellowship is off and already they’re beefing.

Can't wait for the next series! For some base diversity, what do you think about the group preferring their own buildings/houses within the complex.
Hi Pete. I regret only one thing at the end. That you did not select a new person for the Mournful miner role. Hurray for the new colony. Best wishes.
Good God. You must have pissed off the same deity that organized the Australian Emu wars!
*applause* Thank you Pete!
I can't wait to see the grand library
Thank you Pete for providing us another amazing story. You are a master of your craft!
Amazing finale!
Can’t wait for the next One!
Great job Pete!
Great series, Pete. Thanks for everything.
Also, you can have mad scientist as a childhood trait? I wish I went to that school!
The veritable army of rhinos appearing to blockade your colony had me in stitches. It seems they really took your hunting personally lmao
Surprised Maniac didn't go out there and try to poke em in the eyes
Great series!
can t wait for you doing Anomaly run
Keep an eye out for named elephants at your next colony, hell, keep an eye out for more of the pawns from your first colony.
Finally caught up and raedy for the new chapter! I'm gonna miss Light and Wyatt tho :(
As always great series and amazing storytelling!
Now we wait for the last chapter!
You are doing a great job. I love your videos
