@@jett0237 depends cash games can be good if you have alot of different and weakish players at the low stakes, but as you go higher those players arent there and so its different sort of game (this is in general). Also depends on the venue for me, and if poker buddy want to do or not.
Hardest thing Is bankroll management for me I really suck so I don't have one!💯... I'm a single dad so I can't play like I want to... when I do get to play I runnz deep 🤣🤣but Im constantly trying to improve on that area.
Strict unless it's taking shots via live satellites of which my win ( so far) rate is 36% of 12 live satellite entries. Sometimes 2 in one mtt. I'm good at satellites. I have of course played alot more than this but I'm only including my latest results. I never used to win live satellites. I lost about 30 consecutively. I know that it's not luck. It was bad play and lack of ICM awareness. I have a stop loss of 2 satellite entries for satellites which cost about X10 of the buy in to the actual event. If I have a €20K bankroll the biggest buy in is €350 or so. For anything bigger I play satellites. But the Sat's cost no more than 350 and usually between 55 and 135. My ITM live over all my tournaments. About 66. Is approximately 41%. I min cash way too much though.
Thanks for sharing your invaluable poker knowledge! I've watched other poker players try to teach on RUclips, but you are by far the best. You've changed my life in poker in a relatively short amount of time. Looking forward to sharing the results with you in due time! Big blessings and much gratitude Mr. Little
I won a ticket to a $108 Bounty MTT, with a $5 dollar satellite early this year, and i busted without nothing. I can say that i'm greatful for it, because i learned that playing those tournaments (satellite) for me were not healthy for my bankroll. Now i'm focusing on playing MTT's that fits better for me. BTW, this content is so good. Thank you JL.
Based on the math here... if someone is playing 100 tournaments, and win about net $2,000-$3,500 over that time. Assume they invest 5hrs per tournament that's 500hrs. If they "win" net $2,000 divided by 500hrs, they are making $4.00/hr.
I play mid-stakes Sngs with high volume and maintain a 7% ROI, even at those stakes I try to keep 100 buy ins due to variance. On MTTs I keep a deeper bankroll for online but will take shots at higher buy ins when in Vegas as I don't get to do it often (once every few years).
You should already know what your monthly expenses are, have at least 6 months saved up, and know honestly what your expected roi is. For tournaments you might even need a year saved up and be putting in LOTS of volume
I guess you could cash out when you win if you are recreational. With a 30% ROI, for a 100$ buy-in where you made 500$, you can cash out (500-100) * 0.3 = 120$ and keep the same bankroll long-term. Correct me if im wrong.
Thanks for the content, I always wondered about MTT's Bankroll management, If climbing a stake or two higher does it makes so much bigger difference?Sometimes I find it better cause less fishes tend to make out for less bad beats (just my experience in MTT'S)
What is YOUR poker bankroll strategy? 🤔
My trouble is the gap between micro MTT's up to mid. Not to mention the deep fields adding variance. Cash games is truly the way to go isn't it?

I love bankroll videos.
So pretty much if your broke… you should play low stakes cash games
Great video Jonathan. It’s good to have free knowledge on RUclips like this

yep, multi tabling tho
Multi-tabling that's roughly 3-4 days
Were are limited down to 4 tables at once :(
Thanks so much for this video!
Yay new video keep em coming
Max. 10 % of my BR is in play during a session. with 25-30 mtts it worked fine last 10-12 years. Live max. is 5 % af my BR.

Excellent explanation
Mtts are fun i need to get better though. Need to helmuth it and let people get chips in. I played to much cash and push people out to much
Going ITM w/o a single re-buy (except add-ons) for me is an achievement. I play every tournament as if there's no re-buy/re-entry option.
Great job on this video.
Thank you? Needed this
You're so welcome!
Most players don't get this. Theyll have a year or three of good variance then theyre finished
How do YOU calculate how much of your winnings you take for your home/life expenses? Is it a fixed percentage on a weekly basis?

why is there more time to win money when there are more players in the tourney?

So…. $5mill bankroll to play the main event?
look at the main event as something entirely different, you can play high volume main events
shouldnt you still be in LasVegas`?
Instructions unclear. Just lost $3,000 the other night now im a week behind on my bills 😅
As a rule of thumb, I don't re-buy into tournaments. I'd rather just enter a new tournament with deeper stacks where my edge is the greatest.
100x buy ins for MTTs
300x for any real professional.
750,000 for 2000 player tournament? Really
If you fire $2,000 bullets then yea that’s what he said
I like live nlhm but i cant stand it online. Plo online is where its at
why plo?
