It's so obvious why Rousey hates Tate. It's called ENVY. Rousey suffers from low self esteem. Almost everything she does and says indicates an attempt to compensate for that low self esteem. And Tate has the physical beauty and femininity Rousey wishes she had, and all while being a great athlete and excellent MMA fighter. That really pushes Rousey's buttons.

I think that has a lot to do with it. Ronda explained that she was bullied growing up, girls use to make fun of her for being "boyish", and I think the fact that Miesha is a good looking woman makes her feel insecure. The sad part is, even with how disrespectful Ronda is toward her, u can tell that Miesha wants to be cool with her but Ronda ain't havin it. They obviously respect each other as competitors.

In her book, she explains that her manager (or something like that) started complaining about how much Ronda was going to get paid for the show, because apparently it was way lower than the men. He did this without Ronda's knowledge or consent, so you can imagine how shocked she was when Dana called her... and he was extremely pissed. The last words he said to her before the above clip was, "Well I don't know what I'm going to do." Insinuating that she may get kicked off the show. That's why she was so nervous when she heard Tate was coaching... she thought they replaced her. Haha. It has nothing to do with looks.

I think having Meisha coach the show caught her off guard and in a way, Miesha was prepared and kept her composure. The combination of the media and having to be in this awkward situation around someone you don't like made Ronda feel like she had to do something about it and go talk to Dana. Meisha kept her cool and even almost laughed at Ronda's behavior because she was prepared for it, and because she doesn't like Ronda either, but shes not as openly assertive as Ronda is either.

Short explanation?
A couple days before shooting, Dana phoned Ronda really pissed off because Rondas manager suddenly called Dana and said she's not doing the show unless she gets a sh*t load more money. Ronda said it's not true and her manager did it without consulting her. Dana just told her to fire her manager but was still pissed.
So then when Ronda walked into the gym and flipped out from Mishas vague explanation it's cause Ronda thought Dana was firing her and replacing her with her enemy. Like a "Don't f*ck with the UFC" power move.

I don't watch any UFC except for this show so this was the first time I had ever seen or heard of Miesha Tate. Until then, I had thought Rhonda was pretty and a cool chick. After this episode my mind was completely changed. Miesha was the gorgeous professional and Rhonda was the unprofessional bad-sport with the temper and composure of a 12yr old brat who's dad didn't buy her a pony.

Tate lost to Rousey again in their fight. But the thing is Tate won the coaching over Rousey. Tate has 3 fighters in the 4 semi final spots. And in the final Tate's fighter beat Rousey's fighter for the win. Tate has a better coaching staff also. Rousey has Edmond which is ultimately her own downfall in her career.

The thing is is that Miesha seems humbled by her defeat from Ronda. Maybe even honored. She carries herself like someone who won, even while Ronda is not liking it. I think Ronda's loss might be a humbling wakeup. So in the rematch she would have a clear mind and not be clouded with arrogance.
Used to think that Miesha Tate was some horrible, terrible person because Ronda Rousey hated her so much . . . Didn't real closely follow the drama, I don't think anybody really did at the time, but Ronda Rousey was basically "America's Sweetheart" due to all the attention, she was undefeated (at the time), everybody loved her and she really did bring a ton of public attention to women's MMA . . . . . Then as time went on you discover that Rousey is very rude, very selfish, lacks manners, lacks etiquette, and is a very, very poor sport (which we saw once finally defeated). Also used to think Dana White was an awesome guy . . . a down-to-earth bad-ass . . . . Then, you begin to see how much he favored Ronda Rousey more than any other girl, and how he would publicly let it be known how much a fanboy he was for her . . . . . Hard to be impartial/unbiased running that business having that kind of favoritism . . .
