As what comes to the optics then the general rule is to have caps-plug covers on all the time, so as less dust can get into the connector parts the better. Just in time of plugging it in the cover comes off and if to unplug then the cover will go on.

not sure if this has been pointed out before, but if your in a pinch and trying to work out if your getting light out of a fibre, often the camera on a phone will pickup the light coming through. but yeh don't look into the fibre to look for the light source, especially on Single mode!

I just want to say that Mr. Bombal actually gets me excited about the content being presented. I wish the Cisco Network Academy tried to make their material half as engaging.

I first encountered HPE/Aruba when I started my current job. Being from a Cisco world, the small differences trip me up to this day sometimes (un/Tagged for ex)
Nice to see Aruba sponsoring a youtuber like you. Do you plan on, or have you already, getting any Aruba certs?

I have an older HPE MASE cert. I used to teach a lot of HPE courses before they purchased Aruba.

It was to show connectivity as a dumb switch, but these boxes are managed ones with their value tied largely with in that management side. Do you plan to show how and what will it take to stack, vlan, monitor, fault detect, ... the whole set?

Apologies if this has been asked. I see the 100gig end would not be physically redundant because of it's single point of failure and I assume the 25gig ends could be considered multipoint one removed would not limit the others. So is it accurate to say the 100 to 25 cable break outs create 4 separate logical routes that could be considered redundant?

can u do a series where you go through a network configuration setup? showing us the whole topology of how everything is connected and setup? i havent found one proper video on youtube going through switch and router configurations. im sure it can be very boring and arduous, but with all the networking channels i havent seen anyone show how a network is actually configured. router on a stick intervlan routing, vlan setup, port security, voip, firewall, ACL's, port channel bonding... etc etc... everything that would make a network work with a managed switch.

Hey David, how are you? Appreciate your video, and I hope Aruba will read my comment as well. The equipment is very nice, but the support in my current region feels bad. Also, I would kindly request you to make another video about fiber connectivity. More details about single mode, multi mode, short range, and long range fiber. Thank you again for your efforts.

Does that mean moving fibre cables whilst they are in use interferes with the connection?

Fiber optics has come a long way. I remember being in college many moons ago, this technology was in its infancy. The technology of today didn't exist at that time. You get insane bandwidths which results in fast transmission of data using laser at the speed of light. Also, it's extremely hard to 'tap' in to intercept the data/communication. Fun video, thanks Dave for sharing your craft with us.
