- Another banger by Tallah. Go preorder their new album and give them the support they deserve! Fun fact: I deleted many takes because I didn't put the cow hat on quick enough. I really wanted the perfect thumbnail for this, and I love how it turned out!
Done in one take, live video.

Cow hat 😾
I'm sorry I had to do it to you haha, but it was the perfect opportunity!
@@TrevorTeichertWG this is why we love you (and also your talents)
For dramatic effect
The cow hat holds too much power... 11/10
12/11
You’re criminally underrated. Every single covers by you = S Tier
Well, time to watch it again
"They couldn't see me till I swept their fucking legs" best line ever. Gives me chills every time
Phenomenal cover as always, I love to see a vocalist as versatile as Justin.
AS versatile as Justin, no, if I'm being honest. Not because Trevor's not versatile, he is for sure, but because Justin is just in another dimension when it comes to versatility and range.
@@evanblake5252 if he ever covers shaken, thatll be a good gauge. i feel like that track displays justins ability best
@@fissure2132 It is a crazy good track. I think something else on the album has a good chance at passing it, but for currently released songs, it's my new favorite from Tallah. Justin also displays some incredible prowess in his solo work, which I think surpasses Tallah at times. Trevor's covered some before, but the last time I remember him doing so was a long time ago. If you're curious, he did a cover of A Father's End by Hungry Lights, and I also highly recommend checking out the original song, because it's been one of my all time favorites for years now.

Oh sheeeeeet this will be straight fire 🤘Can’t wait for it!
Hypeee 😤
Hat just made it for me :D
As always epic vocals and cover. Tallah is the best nu-metal band.
This hits like a sqarehammer. Fantastic cover. Thanks and much love from Germany 🇩🇪
This is really fucking sick! Great job!
This video is the reason why I was head banging during my sheet metal class lol. Well done man!
Lyrics:
I try to learn when I sprout a life out from nothing
I view it in a brand new frame
I put all of my faith in this
All of my faith in this
If I goof up again
What can I make from the mess?
Say adéu!
Fuck that coulda, woulda, shoulda shit
Thus, your head spits pain, and the bullet rampages
The generation of danger
You were da one who overlook’ da rule book
Ya whole crew shook
I’m the target of anger
Thus, your head spits pain, and the bullet rampages
The generation of danger
Thus, your head spits pain
Do you feel d-disdain for me?
Can’t get away from me, motherfucker!
This ain’t the timе to hide your shame
You’re in thе process, two more hearts to go
Preacher decided he’s done being quiet
The people love violence
It’s human nature, watch ’em take it and take it again
And seventy-seven attempts later
There’s a bad cop who turns the cheek
He likes to watch ’em squirm around on the pavement
That’s the delusion of safety
You proudly carried the torch
But the porch had been doused with kerosene
Suddenly, you can’t face me
Suddenly, it seems you can’t walk at all
Because I changed that!
Fuck your coulda, woulda, shoulda shit!
Thus, your head spits pain, and the bullet rampages
The generation of danger
You were da one who overlook’ da rule book
Ya whole crew shook
I’m the target of anger
Thus, your head spits pain, and the bullet rampages
The generation of danger
Thus, your head spits pain
Do you feel d-disdain for me?
Can’t get away from me!
I know the rich men park somewhere in Bruges
Then the road winds further and further
Into the fog, into the maze
Until they’re so caught up in haze
They couldn’t see me ’til I swept their fucking legs
I peel out like a shadow
Follow them straight into the maze
They can’t hear me when I sneak up from behind
And put chemicals in their brain
I know the rich men park somewhere in Bruges
Then the road winds further and further
Into the fog, into the maze
Until they’re so caught up in haze
They couldn’t see me ’til I swept their fucking legs
Bravo! Bravissimo!

THIS WAS FUCKING INSANE! I'm Fergie looking forward to our collaboration, dude! Just gimme time, I'll get there!
Nice!
Good stuff!!!!!!
great job
Got a couple questions to throw out here.
1. Is this the hardest Tallah cover you've done so far?
and
2. I find it interesting that you went higher on the breakdown than Justin did, even though your voice is usually lower than his, the rest of the cover included. Is there a particular reason, or did it just turn out that way?
Most difficult song by far. I can sing every Tallah song fairly casually and have fun during a jam/practice session (other than the songs with unique singing like The Silo and Red Light, Vanilla Paste is also excluded for obvious reasons)
This one I always feel winded by the time I get to the singing chorus, that rap flow in the middle is no joke. And that's just getting through it, I definitely didn't do all of Justin's inflections, his whistle scream I replaced with a tunnel, he does a lot haha. I would argue that this was harder than To The Hellfire for my voice
As for the second question, I'm not sure which breakdown. "Chemicals in their brains", it felt natural for me to do a hollow mid-tunnel throat there, I suppose he does go a little lower
As for the end with the final guttural (before the "RUFF" part), Justin doesn't go that low if you really pay attention to the tone. What he does do, is such a crazy disgusting distortion, that it makes it sound super heavy and baritone. But really it's not SUPER low. I would almost argue that my tone was just as low his there, but his distortion is just so crazy that it easily outshines the distortion I placed on my guttural. And I'm pretty proud of how my distortion sounded there! He's just obviously more experienced and combines techniques and styles in a way that I can't do, because no one can do Justin better than Justin haha. So at that point, I just have to be me!
But I'm getting extremely nit-picky by mentioning this; most people would say that I performed the song super well. I know you pay attention to the detail of the song like I do, so I'm giving you my in-depth thought towards the playthrough!
@@TrevorTeichertWG I very much appreciate the attention to detail and the the honesty. That and the distinction of tone and distortion, certainly can make a lot of difference how the vocals are approached via technique. Just to clarify the part I was asking about, it was indeed that first breakdown at the midway point. Hopefully one day Justin gets the amount of eyes and ears he deserves, and gets the same hype as dudes like Ramos, because he absolutely deserves it, mind boggling talent and range on display at all times. There are some things other vocalists do better, (Ben Duerr with lows for instance), but overall I honestly think there's not a single vocalist active now who can truly go toe to toe with Justin. I'm also excited to see the vocal video for Telescope, see if he approaches anything differently there, or if he basically matches the studio version. It'll be sweet either way.
Anyways, keep up the good work. Respect to you for the progress you've made since I first discovered your channel, and for braving difficult songs, like this one or To the Hellfire. I think that was when you did a cover of "A Father's End", when I discovered your channel. (I'd like to offer the friendly suggestion of trying more Hungry Lights covers, it has been a minute).
Such an amazing cover I literally can't get enough holy fuck 👌🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Dunno why this got recommended to me but damn nice job dude 👍
