How does it hold up to briars? I have a carhart vest from 1995. It has finally worn out. But I hunt THICK Ohio brush for woodcock, grouse and pheasant. I have rarely seen open terrain and have worn out 3 pairs of chaps to that one vest. Will it shed multifloral rose, greenbrier, and the occasional barbwire fence without being trash in month? Everything made today seems to be inferior to that old Carhart and I cannot find a new one made like my old one.

It’s hard to compete with that old Carhartt for sure. I have worn this vest in all of the Briars chasing Woodcock here in Michigan; they will stick to it, but I haven’t had any major damage yet. I have also run into a few barbwire fences as well; it has a couple of snags, but no major damage. This is indeed a comfortable vest to wear also.
