I think the M8 is the way better device, everything is top notch, well thought thru and tried and tested, it sounds really good, and there's constant firmware updates in the discord, and a direct line of communication to tim the developer. Making music is very fun and can yield great surprises and experimentation. It's the more wholesome and future proof device I'd say, but it's also very much about programming & composing. Wheras the play is more tactile, programming only a little thing and then twiddling knobs and exploring the pockets and sonicalities that emerge, and saving the stuff that sounds good. It's a cool dialogue with the machine unlike other things I've tried. However it really doesn't sound that great out of the box, effects and filters sound bad most of the time and can't be tweaked, and there's quite some limitations dragging the otherwise super inspiring workflow down, i hope it'll receive more updates to remedy some of this, but as i understand its supposed to be very simple. However, at the moment i feelmore drawn to the tactile play approach then the programming M8, but that might change again also. Hope that helps 😅
❤️✌️
Wow - love it... Accomplished Noir-Hop... My Play arrives this week... Hurrah!

Thanks :) I keep finding these pockets in my sequences by twiddling the knobs until everything has morphed into something new ✨
Smooth sequencing. love it!
Thanks for listening :)

@@atomtwist3355 thanks for the thorough response 👍
Are these samples in the Polyend SD card ?
I put these onto the card myself, but the stock lofi-hiphop ones are not bad either :)
Great stuff!! Are you sequencing the M8 with the play? And are you on IG?
Heya. It's only the play in this one. M8 just acting as USB audio interface here. Not really on Instagram, sorry ;)
