You didn't explain why some of them got removed, and furthermore, not all of these were removed.
Thank you for saving my time
Thank you twin ✌️
Easiest don't recommend channel of my life
Thanks
welcome to skip the tutorial, i unsubscribed for a reason
I really wish they'd kept the far lands, it was such a neat concept and I think it would've been awesome if it had been a bug turned into a feature.
Like a seperate world setting!
@Dragonmaster2 like having the possibility to put farlands as a boundaries/edge of the world
@Dragonmaster2 Seems similar to the amplified world setting.
It is still a thing on bedrock as far as I know. I went there (with cheats) on mt switch
And I wish they'd kept the custom world types😔
The Easter egg for basalt delta is radiation… if you listen closely you can hear a Geiger counter
Thats a theory, but its still unconfirmed.
The dev said its a “reference” to something… if that is the easter egg, what is high radiation a reference to/for?
I just dont see any links there… leading me to believe its something else we haven’t found.
The thing is though they specifically said it was so stupid that it would make whoever found it angry just for having wasted their time. And the geiger counter is an actually cool easter egg so I doubt its that.
My best guess for Basalt Delta is that it's meant to resemble the hostile architecture of an abandoned nuclear waste deposit. 'This is not a place of honor' etc.
radiation... Toby "Radiation" Fox!?
@aurahelmi delta.. rune
Y'know, despite how long the swamp biome has existed, the trees are still just Oaks with custom leaves. To think they should've become their own type of tree at some point
They did, it’s called mangrove 😂
@belphie2141mangroves are for a different biome
@countclackula7390But were intended for the regular swamps
@noahtaylor1721 but they were never added to them which is my point
A swamp full of willow trees with light green wood?
I think the easter egg for the basalt deltas is that they’re a reference to the splintered wood from smashing your desk in half when dying in a random pit of lava
I figured it might be the Geiger counter in the ambience (The little clicking noise you can hear sometimes, that's from a device made to measure radiation, implying the Basalt Deltas have something radioactive like uranium in the rocks)
There might be water within the basalt delta due to, at least trusting game theory on this, water being required to make the basalt
So I'm not the only one who hears that?
@Earthyscornerim pretty sure the whole "subtle easter egg thing" is basically basalt existing in nether confirming it WAS livable with water and that's why it have its own waterr color
@camblycreeper7999there is uranium in basalt
Didn't realize a lot of these biomes got renamed. I knew about Extreme Hills, but I still call Mesa, Mushroom Islands, and Roofed Forest by their originals.
Me too though I do sometimes alternate between between Roofed Forest and Dark Oak Forest
I still often call the old growth forests redwood forests
Me too, I never stopped saying Mesa because I honestly just thought it was easier to say
@catsinwonderland7473yeah
Apparently it's a reference to a place in utah
If you called it Roofed forest instead of dark oak forest at any point what are you even doing
''which we now call the mushroom fields''
3 second later call it the mushroom island instead
*Sees old Netherrack textures
... We've come a looong way...
...from where we began
and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
@rainbow_vader…It’s been a long time, without you my friend…
I prefer the old look of most blocks
21:33 this is really weird to learn because I CONSTANTLY see villages spawning near cherry forests
I was playing on bedrock a couple of hours ago and also came across a village in the cherry blossom valley.
Yup
A lot of it wasnt explained of removal nor was it removed in the first place.
"Panda is losing its home and it is still unfazed" - seems on-brand for the world's least good at surviving animal.
Ever heard of the Vaquita Marina?
@Zuldaarever heard of tge Koala
Sloths will argue that it's them instead
@Rentta It might take them a while to make their argument though
silverfish are literally worse at surviving and are also in Minecraft.
Seeing the evolution of the Nether definitely makes me wish for a bit more in the End
Feeling so old. I remember being so excited for the mesa biome when it was introduced.
Using modern versions with a "retro" texture pack to showcase biomes when you can just log into these older versions is the stupidest thing ever
RIGHT?????
It doesn't even look right. The neon grass was removed all the way back when biomes were implemented.
getting those older versions working on a modern system is difficult. why go through that process when you can just use a texture pack to show off what you want
@AmericanaGoatShow Since when? I can log into my launcher and play the infdev versions with no issues
@thereal_rambsanything older than 1.8 insta crashes on launch for me
I wish they would keep the April Fools updates. The biomes added with them are very creative.
I mean, you can go back and play any of them in the launcher
Man barely any of these biomes are actually “removed”. They’re mostly just renamed.
20:54 Bro this would've been so cool, because I've always thought the Sculk blocks looked like bioluminescence in the deep ocean
FR
Maybe the Easter egg in the basalt delta is the geiger counter sounds, since basalt has radiation in it?
I miss when the bottom of the world had a fog and strange particles
the resourcepack was really unecessary
2:42 rip far lands :(
unrip near lands
In bedrock if you go to 16777216 90 16777216 its the opposite of the far lands
It makes me feel old, knowing that Minecraft is still younger than I am
lol i think most people are older than minecraft. If you were ever older than something you'll always be older than it because time is linear
@SineN0mine3 I know, I still feel old. I'll put it this way: I'm over three times older than Minecraft
0:17 Kirby mass attack music??? in this economy?
🌽🏀
today i learned i have been calling most of the biomes the wrong names for years .... oops
I still call it mushroom island 8:35
I think everyone does
this wasn't a list of biomes removed and why, but a list of all biomes ever.
Oh yeah skippy time!!!
14:08 It look like one of those infinite mirror loops
I never feel old until I see someone talk about when Minecraft updates came out...
Arboretum is saod Arbor (like arbor day) and eeee tum. It is latin, basically means tree garden.
0:57 Ever got to the edge of this worlds? Were they also glitched and broken?
Look closer, old minecraft had borders, worlds where limited to very small squares
There were invisible walls preventing you from traveling very far
@ratemisia And behind those walls?
@goiterlanternbaseNothing - you can't go beyond them, the terrain isn't even "generated" since it's predefined and not saved in the files. They go on like that forever, they might as well be part of the skybox.
Since we have the pale oak trees now, there is still another tree variation I know that's still not added. The palm tree. Since I last discovered it on the Sonic series, I found them on between the beach and the sunflower fields.
What I like about the pale garden biome is the smoggy sky..
I love how most of minecraft is just the far lands
8:44 STOP CALLING THIS LANDLOCKED
its not
lolright? landlocked peninsula 😂😂
Landlocked
I'm going to cast an eldritch curse on the youtube algorithm gods for hiding this for 15 minutes
Basalt deltas strongly resemble lush caves, especially the lava pockets (1.16 nether update-1.17 caves and clifs) The sounds from this biome sound like radiation, but I don't think Mojang plans to introduce radioactive materials into the game.
Only started in 1.17 so I really enjoyed this. I had NO CLUE about any of the earler stuff besides seeing the Aquatic Update happen in my sons world. Lots of fun trivia!
under 15mins
i didnt realise this was new vid lol started watching it14 mins ago
I feel like April fools biomes are just test/training projects they give to new developers to learn how to create, adjust and expand biomes etc. 😅
To this day the lava pits starting forest fires is my favorite oddity
Love the Pokémon Snap music in the background. 😂
15:59 panda:MORE FOOD!!!
I hope we get new biomes in a future update. Maybe even at least one for the end.
Frozen Ocean was my favourite because i could make a superflat without the grass. Loved it.
luke the notable reference? 15:20
If this is a genuine question, then no. It’s just a coincidence.
Possibly
12:11 is that who I think it is…
4:52 i knew sumn was up
Lol
thanks for posting skip
I remember one time back in high school when we got our school laptops there was something written in there saying to keep our promise to not play Minecraft during school hours. I laughed at that
Ok you can't just drop a WOT reference and act like we're going to ignore it
Yes! Wheel of Time acknowledged! 🎉 3:24
Here to support new creators
You’re so kind, supporting a 10mil creator
So kind 😊
So original 😐
i love helping under 11m creators ❤️
Dead joke bro, think of something original
hmmmm, flower forest?
The Nether being a reference to the Wheel of Time is amazing, can't believe I didn't know that!
Wheel of time mentioned 🔥
I remember when the meadows were added, it was on my 11th birthday
The nether a take on the ways that's so cool the wheel of time is my favourite book series
Here to. Never thought about that to be honest
Oak trees will happily grow cheek-to-jowl, they're pretty forgiving that way, no bone meal required.
I wish the custom, outdated, and april fools biomes could be more easily set for any version of minecraft to make for more interesting survival world opportunities.
Really want a redwood forest biome
0:57 I got the right to be hellish. I still get jealous!
Thanks searge and Mojang for adding a igloo and a secret room that you can turn zombie villagers to villagers
13:52 To this day, I still adamantly insist on calling it The Ender, because it just feels more _original_ that way 🤔
What's with all the weird textures? It looks so cursed. Why not just go back to the old versions
That’s what the really old textures looked like?
I was so excited when the mushroom island was added ❤
Rest in peace to the farlands。:゚(;´∩`;)゚:。
THE NETHER TRAVEL DISTANCE IS A WHEEL OF TIME REFERENCE????
Oh my I found trees spawning together with their trunks connected in a couple biomes not only the potato place…
I miss the old textures so much.
5:04 why is there a cornflower? isn't that a new addition?
I started Minecraft sometime in 2010, this is a trip down memory lane. Wish I could experience the nostalgia the game gave me when I first played it all those years ago.
16:55 LOL I actually did that back in 1.15!!!
rainforsts are acutaly a good idea
I miss the world buffet
in one of my worlds i found over 15 windswept gravleyhills
22:00 Its called "Hash" because its like Hashbrown.
OMG how did I not connect the Ways with Nether Portals!?!?!?
WHEEL OF TIME REFERENCE YEAAAAAAAH
The pale garden being from 2024 is crazy that's 2 whole years ago
I was born Jan 6th 2009
Hmm. Lots of biomes, but still lots of room for more
You should have brought farlands expert Squiddo.
what about the modified jungle edge
You forgot the archipelago islands
My birthday day gift was the map settings lol
2:31 Someone PLEASE tell me what this song in the background is from. It’s somewhere in my brain but I can’t place it and it’s driving me CRAZY.
It's from Pokémon snap
@mtrzr8 OMG THANK YOU. The Valley level. That’s bugged me all morning.
I wish they would remove stoney beaches
5:42 the witch be like
My house is on fire XD
22:12 PINK FLOYD REFERENCE
what about if you listen to a music disc in the pale garden. Dies the fade away too?
I like the sky islands. It would be nice if they were added back
The first pale garden I ever found was tiny and had no pale heart. Guess I was extra unlucky since it had more than 10 trees
18:15 perhaps the values from the Geiger counter sound give us numbers which correlate to spelling the word
17:43 It’s our DESTINY 2 go, FINALly, to the SHAPEs biome.
Broski I read all the wot books they are very good
You showing modern Minecraft with completely incorrect visuals when explaining old biomes PAINS ME
18:12 easter egg is that the background sound is the sound of a radiometer.
I didn't realize how long ago some of these were added. They all feel so new
I would love to see this redone now, and see how it would improve!
