    1:00:04 why bond angle decreases down the group?

      Because bond angle is inversely proportional to bond length
      You can also understand it as decreasing BP-BP repulsion down the group due to larger atomic radii of heavier hydrides, causing subsequent decrease in bond angle.

    But why at

      Inert pair effect lagega na niche toh Te +4 dikha skta h khushi se pr electron lose krke +6 nai jana chahega.

    Main Oxidation State wale Mein Thoda problem a raha hai mum down the group -2 ki stability increased b hogi or down the group decrease be Hogi mein bahut confusion ho raha hai🙄Otheriwse whole.lecture bhot acha tha😍😍

      Down the group, -2 Ki stability kam hoti kyuki metallic character increases and non metallic character decreases
      Due to inert pair effect, (Common Oxidation state-2) yani ki 6-2=+4 ki stability badti h aur +6 ki kam hoti h

    Ma'am group 15 m jo pg no. 168 pe table hai usme NH3 ka bond angle sbse high hai but usme toh bond pair lone pair repulsion ki wjh se sbse km hona chahiye tha compare to others?
    Sorry ma'am agr apne yeh btaya hoga i attend all lectures timely but bhuul gyi syd i remember ki apme btaya tha ki B.P L.P repln ki wjh se iska structure tetrahedral se bi bi-pyramidal hojata hai

      But as nitrogen jo hai woh phosphorus se zada electronegative hai
      Toh N-H bond mein electron cloud N ke pass hoga compared to P-H mein
      Toh yaha bp-bp repulsion ki wajah se angle sabse bada aayega
      Down the gro electronegativity kam hogi toh electron cloud bhi central atom se dur hoga hence less bp-bp repulsion so less angle

      See jisme product zada stable baan raha ho usme system ka energy zada release hota hai kyuki product khud zada stable ban raha hai
      O mein electron put karna zada mushkil hai kyuki e- will face more repulsion due to small size of O hence kam release hoga
