if an earth can swim/float in space then why not water - earth has a definite shape because of its sold parts. water changes its shape upon disturbance e.g gravity.Just imagine mass of water congruent to shape of earth in space. Its gravity would be GM/R^2 where M = mass of water, R=radius of water ball, G = gravitational constant. This is according to the newton
