Merry Christmas, Steve! For anyone that doesn't want to be out of breath for their eggnog we made a Gingerbread Cookie Eggnog in a blender. I think your cocktail shaker feels the same way as my Gingerbread man, taking a beating for a delicious cocktail! Cheers!
In my country is summer and its pretty hot too hahaha. Still any recipe of Steve is welcome here ❤️ Happy christmas to you all, pro and home bartenders!!!
I’ve bought cocktail glasses and lots of liqueurs just from watching your cocktail vlogs! Now I’m after this ☝️ Pimms cocktail will go nicely in this for our summer Christmas. Cheers to you! 🎄
Christmas Day was beautiful hot and sunny, so we went Tiki. Boxing Day is crappy and raining... So I get to have one of these today lol. Thanks Steve and Leandro
Great seasonal drink. Always gives me something to look forward to. I did a batch recipe video which I usually bottle and keep on hand for boozy eggnog lattes
Just tried that recipe, it is indeed very good. Less creamier than a regular « milk » eggnog and definitely ‘cocktailier ». Great when you want to enjoy an Eggnog on your own.
Thank you from Ukraine! I am going to try substituting it with dark rum or spiced rum and overproofed whiskey. Hope I don't kill this great recipe of yours🙂 Merry Christmas!
Evening I've just decided to start mixing some cocktails. Oddly I been on a health kick this year so have hardly been drinking but have been now and again. I've decided instead of drinking beer and wine I'm going to have the odd cocktail after dinner. Makes it a bit more fun I think. The main reason is watching you mix these up and now I can't stop watching your videos. I love the shake and smile you do it's brilliant. Anyway festive greetings from essex in the UK.
Never tried making my own eggnog, gave this a go since I just happened to buy Smith and Cross the other day. Absolutely delicious! Thanks Steve, and Merry Christmas
My first Eggnog! It was delicious! I had some leftover orange peel from an earlier cocktail so expressed that over it too, untraditional but delicious and tasted even more Christmassy. Thanks Steve.
If Steve had to shake that hard to emuslify that egg... Can I use my blender?! I'd be out of breath for a month! ☆ ☆ ☆ Merry Christmas to everyone who sees this, and happy holidays to those of other faiths and traditions xx
Just dry shake first to emulsify. Then add ice and shake again to chill. I think he just had a brain fart on the dry shake step and omitted it. Also, if you watch leandros vid, he likely does the dry shake in it.
I wasn't expecting to like eggnog but wow it was so nice. Hoping you make more Christmas cocktail vids this year - I feel like there should be a drink with a candy cane garnish 😂
Hey Steve, so I was looking for an eggnog recipe and stumbled upon this mexican eggless version called a 'Coquito'. It's absolutely amazing. Can you try that please? It will be really nice to see your version of the drink. Thanks. Merry Christmas! 😊😊
Steve perhaps sharing these videos are few days BEFORE Christmas would have been nice? I was looking for a steve christmas cocktail for the last two weeks!
This is the way, right here. Once I made a complicated egg nog recipe that involved heating the egg+cream mixture in a saucepan and making a big batch... Then I discovered this way of making egg nogs one at a time and I can't figure a reason to make it the other way.
Making it the other way allows you to make a larger amount, in advance, so that you don't have to stand there shaking, making one at a time, for two dozen guests. As long as there's only a few people then making single servings is fine.
On substituting Wild Turkey 101 for Old Grand Dad Bonded, I like both and used to keep both around, but I decided I like the 101 a little better, so I stopped buying the OGD.
@@StevetheBartender_ steve, you look great. In fact, you are very in shape considering that alcoholic drinks are just liquid sugar and that's your full time job 😂😂 I'm a teacher, so they are clearly my full time job too... Right?!
Hey Steve, I am always curious about using raw egg. But my wife has concerns about raw eggs regarding Salmonella. Can you give me your thoughts about this topic? thank you and have a merry christmas.
The reason you shouldn’t eat raw cookie dough is actually because of the raw flour. Salmonella happens more so because of the shells and not the insides of the egg. If you’re concerned about it you could always wash your eggs I guess. Millions of eggy drinks are served every year. If it was a health concern they wouldn’t let bars serve any sours or flips.
That’s a shame that you can’t get Old Grandad. Might be the best value in all of whiskey. 100 proof with a decently complex and pleasing flavor all for like $22 usd
@@StevetheBartender_ We have some pretty brutal liquor taxes here (Nashville, TN) but that’s absolutely insane. We’re definitely blessed to be right around the corner from the whiskey trail in Kentucky and can get it all for relatively cheap.
Jeez! Either this recipie is really boozy or I don't like bourbon in my egg nog. I only had Maker's Mark (40% abv) bourbon available and I pretty much hated the end result. I did have the Smith & Cross. Way too boozy for me.
@@StevetheBartender_ I doubt it, but can't of course be 100% sure. I had the rum in a couple other cocktails and actually liked the flavor. I'll have to do more research...
😲No liquor stores open on Christmas (which is good - they shouldn't have to work). Guess I'm going to have to substitute...grate a little oak into vodka - that's whiskey, right? Brandy and rum look similar, some cottage cheese and an egg.
Eggnog was derived from Milk Punch which is spirit, sugar and milk (served with grated nutmeg). Adding egg to a Milk Punch results in an Egg Milk Punch (also known as Eggnog)... Eggnog = spirit, sugar, milk (and/or cream) and egg. What is your interpretation of eggnog and why do you believe this isn't Eggnog?
