Amazing trees mangroves, I wrote an essay on Grey Mangroves (the ones in Chris' video) about 20yrs ago when studying horticulture. Here's some useless facts: They "breathe" through the small spikes, called pneumatophores, coming up out of the mud when it's low tide. To excrete excess salt they store it in some leaves, which turn yellow, and are then dropped by the tree. Their seeds germinate while still attached to the tree, they then drop and move with the tide, and are able to start establishing themselves quickly when washed up in a suitable spot. Great video Chris!

Sitting at home with a torn calf muscle and a snapped tendon, 4 weeks on my ass now. Hanging out till I can walk again so I can go on another adventure. But this was just brilliant, no other RUclipsr does it this well
