  • You want your bananas brown, soft and mushy. If your bananas are not perfectly ripe for banana bread, no problem! Lay them on a baking sheet and bake them at 350f for 15 minutes.
    Peel and mash up the bananas. Use a flat large plate and a fork for that process. Set aside.
    Add dry ingredients together in a small bowl: flour (fluff it up when measuring), cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda, salt, mix. (Fluff your flour first before measuring for accurate measuring)
    In a large bowl, add butter, fluff up the butter using a hand mixer on a medium speed. Then, add brown sugar and beat it until fluffy and lighter in color. Then, add vanilla extract and eggs. Beat that together until well combined. Mix in mashed bananas using a spatula. Add, dry ingredients. Fold it in to combine and don’t over mix the batter (not to loose fluffiness). Chop up walnuts into small pieces. Now is the time to add chopped nuts but this is optional. I did not add them to my batter this time. I will use them to sprinkle on top.
    Grease a loaf pan with butter and sprinkle with flour to prevent sticking. Transfer your batter into your prepared pan. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Goes into the oven at 350f for 50-60 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean. Let it rest in a pan for about 10 minutes before taking it out of pan. Enjoy! 😊

    1, 1/2 cup all purpose Flour
    3 ripe bananas (mashed)
    1 stick Unsalted softened butter
    3/4 cup Brown sugar or 1 cup granulated sugar
    1 tsp Vanilla extract
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp Cinnamon
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    1/2 tsp cloves
    1 tsp Baking soda
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1/2 cup or less Chopped walnuts (optional)
