I still remember the first Kengan Ashura video you made, it’s really nice to see how different you sound on the mic right now. And not to mention, the editing keeps getting better.
Its a mixed bag as always , but damn some part of the bag is good , i honestly got bored to death during the Raian fight and the teasing of the big fight with no actual conclusions , but damn when Sandro offer us some good tournament when he want. I hope it will be as good as the berserker bowl who was an oasis in the desert. Anyway i put all my stock in Justin. All of it.
Honestly..yeah, a mixed bag is the most consistent part about the Omega Experience™️ I’m forever coping that the tournament style writing and the main plot will merge well at some point, but until then, the fights will have to be enjoyed separately. Justin.. I don’t know man, having a feeling Hiraku is putting belt to ass 😬 but it’s almost too obvious so if it’s a red herring, would be pretty interesting lmao
@@EdwardTakeshi honestly the only true fight out of a tournament that there was in the whole kengan verse was Edward vs everybody else. Most of the time the plot is kind off disconnected from the tournament part and is more some kind of obscure lore that give flavor but shouldn't take central stage on what kengan is amazing at like tournament or slice of life
The series was and still is good throughout. Just because people want the story to be structured terribly doesnt mean Sandro will actually do it lmao. It makes sense why Setsuna gave Tiger Niko a tough time. He underestimated Kiryu and we havent seen Kiryu at all developing so he shocked us by surpassing our nonexistent expectations. It was plainly put a pretty good move by Sandro. Kuroki absolutely deserves to be praised by Shen. Unlike Mukaku. Kuroki's simplicity and the sheer level to which he has mastered his techniques is what makes him powerful. He definitely can give Shen a fun time atleast because he doesnt have enough ego to let Shen slip anything past him in the beginning atleast. It makes sense and is logical. And PLEASE dont talk about either the realism of something or thelack thereof in Kengan. This is not Baki. Kengan has always been at the very least grounded in reality. There is something called Nuance. If you want just pure fighting action without stop, go read either Baki or reread Ashura. This is supposed to expand the kengan world and its doing it perfectly. Those who hate slow moving parts and actually complex structuring of arcs other than (big men fight) do not have a valid enough take for me to take seriously lmao. Finally, a few more points so that I can be done with this. The creator of Kengan expected the fanbase to atleast grow a little bit over the course of Omega. But no. Everyone is still just as immaturely obsessed with only fights as always. Sandro improved his overall writing, and while Kengan did have overall better fights, introduced nuance and world building and more likable characters in Omega. But people wanna gobble the same slop over and over again. There are actual criticisms to be made for Omega. Like the subpar handling of some topics like Lower Parts of Worm or Xia Ji, but those topics almost never get touched. Instead Kengan 'fans' that are 'definitely mature' love to practically do tricks onto the schlong of the idea of recieving straight fighting slop for 200 chapters straight and get mad when a competent writer doesnt listen to his incompetent ass fanbase its crazy lmao. Yes. I'll admit. I'm both yapping, and glazing. If y'all are gonna seethe and yap and glaze something that isnt even worth glazing, I'd say I'm atleast doing much better in that regard.
Honestly I think the Worm kinda lost all meaning for existing. Shen just wants a play partner for himself, which he most likely will get with training Ohma and / or Kuroki. It did get tiring that seemningly all their members have Superman Syndrome... although against Raian, it made sense to pit a dude like that to show off the insane powerful he got. Honestly I think it's not too far fetched to say the winner of this tournament will have a conclusion with Kuroki but Ohma and Raian will take down Shen combined because they have learned things noone else had the option to learn.
Lowkey, I would want my chonky boi, Julius to win this tournament. His fights are usually the most visually appealing and very graphic, not to mention he has some of the hardest panels in the series. PLUS, Julius vs Shen would undoubtably Go hard. Also, I really interested in seeing not only Julius’ back story, but also Lolong and others and why they fight or got involved with the Worm. All in all, this is shaping up to be an extremely hype events which I hope it delivers upon.
It didn’t hit me that Julius could be a potential winner. That’s interesting, there could be an angle of like Kazuo and the others experimenting and seeing if a peak physical specimen/a tank type could fare better against Shen than all of the potential candidates so far. I wouldn’t be opposed to it.
The series is a mixed bag, and I’ve got a script written on how I would “fix” the series. But something else in the series that is a big issue aside from a poor mixed between character driven, more one off fights and the worm/wu/clone storylines is that the villains aren’t really given any sort of shine. Gilbert beat Raian-the guy we’ve associated dominance with for so long-entirely off screen. It’s cool as hell (and could have been interesting) that Willem has Superman syndrome and 100% release for guihan. But instead that’s used entirely as a backdrop to make Raian look cool once more. Tiger Niko even looked iffy, making Setsuna(who’s totally out of the story right now) look better when Tiger Niko could have shined, Setsuna could have gotten his ass handed to him and still be in the same position. Hell, we even have Shen admitting that Kuroki is supposedly able to give him even a decent fight when he has *nothing* but authority say so to suggest that’s doable. If anything, the way Shen vs Mukaku went down and his meeting with Ohma, he should still be well out of reach. Author should just take a few weeks hiatus and sit back a while to think this shit through more. It feels like he’s been in the trenches too long and can no longer see the forest amongst the trees if you’ll forgive my mixed metaphors.
@@EdwardTakeshiCompared to the returning characters, the story will have to focus more on why the new characters fight because they haven't really been introduced yet. 3:24 why are you expecting Sakigaki to be a mysterious villain? Is he based on someone important?
No lie, I also felt the same way. It feels like he has connected with the Worm. Just his general Vibe is off-putting, robotic almost.
