Stevie Wonder is a genius. This seemingly simple song has so much depth to it. The tune is simple but catchy but the lyrics are far more than they seem. First is the sentiment. A simple statement of love, calling a loved one. Then there's the eloquence of the words, the rhyme making it seem like a sonnet. Calling someone to tell them you love them not because it was a special day that reminded you of them, but rather it came from the heart. Then, what was not apparent to me before was how he started with New Year and goes through the seasons, months of the year to come full circle back until the end of the year. To put all of this in a deceptively simple song is quite frankly genius. Stevie is a prodigy.

That's exactly what I did this morning. I called to bless my daughter on a 21st Bday... and sent her Stevie's. She later texted saying she is getting ready for classes listening to Stevie's. She is working later. We will see her later. We just love her.

The man that I love with all my being, could not tell me "I love you". I know he does, he would only say "te quiero"...is not the same as "I love you"... 2 days ago he called me and I could not believe that finally after 42 years tells me these precious words "te amo" (I love you). My tears flooded my eyes, and asked him to say it again and again...and he did!!! Then, he mailed me this beautiful song....needless to say....I feel like I'm walking on clouds....so happy...I feel his love...I am in love, like when we were 14 and he 15. Just wanted to share, feels great!!!

Sorry but why is it necessary to be so specific and say "black singer". Have you ever heard people say "that white singer Bryan Adams"or "that white singer Celine Dion"and so on? It could just have been good enough to do a project on famous singers. It feels weird reading everywhere where people seem to emphasise that the person is a black person.

That’s exactly why I’m here!! It’s 1:30 in the morning and I was missing my husband of 36 years. He passed away 2/17/2021. 4 months later on June 17, 2021 my brother passed away. My dad passed in 2015, my mom had a massive stroke and is in a nursing home. Oh the pain that you can feel when your loved ones are more than a phone call away. What I’d give to be able to call them and tell them how much I love and miss them

Years ago someone left this for me on my voice-mail. I was hoping it was from the one I loved but I didn't think he loved me back. It was him 💘 years later we were married with kids and it became a tradition every valentines day while the kids are still sleeping we dress up like love bugs open their door and wake them up playing this song while we dance for them like total dorks! They love it. When they hear it they get emotional and cry a little. Reminds them of their parents, reminds them how loved they are.
