I was just thinking Kanoe. Why is it that so many denominations celebrate the birth of Jesus in a different manner? Are all the priests and pastors reading different scriptures. I’ve been reading and reading over and over and the more I read I found out for me. I don’t want religion I just want to obey his holy word and not religions. I’ve been to many and most of them mean well but not based their truths in the Bible. Thank for reading this humble opinion.

I don't know how accurate it is, but a well respected commentary I read stated Nazareth wasn't mentioned specifically in old testament but may be from Isaiah 11:1, where he is called 'a branch'. The word is 'neser' and the consonants, which Hebrew uses - not vowels, are just like 'Nazareth.'
