I can’t believe tweek did this good at the tournament. Many people including myself thought that tweek would not make it this far. A combination of upsets and tweaks skill with diddy Kong allowed him to overcome many odds.
I will say Tweek avoided literally every thought to be difficult match up lined up for him due to upsets before top 8 lmao

Shadic is literally my goat. USA is finally waking up with young players like Zomba and Shadic on the rise and the old guard of Tweek and Light consistently placing well. Now we just need Dabuz and Mute to stay consistent and we will no longer be land of the “free”.
This tournament was great. The meta that everyone’s tired of is slowly losing its iron grasp on the game. Gods are bleeding, and others are rising up to take home the gold!
Times like these where we gotta keep our heads up and continue to enjoy what we love. Can’t let the Melee fans who complain about their timeslot being taken up get to ya, or even bother to wonder why people are getting mad over a single clip of Miya spamming nair three times in a row. Ult rules!

@@PlagueDrHK Still, there were three of the Four Horsemen in attendance, and none of them won. R.O.B. is much less oppressive in today’s meta than Steve, Sonic, or G&W, which shows evidence of the mold breaking. Just be happy about what we got.
Edit: Also Miya got 17th so that’s another big sign of the meta losing its iron grip.
I mean Rob is part of the problem with the meta, combined with the the other top 5 (G&W, Steve, Snake, Sonic, and Aegis).

I do have one gripe however and it is when a video is Uploaded without time stamps - I almost exclusively listen to your content and would personally rather not watch the clips since if I'm curious about a match I will just go ahead and watch It myself. People being mad at zomba for his "attitude" don't realize he's literally ending the "camping" meta. Not only did he beat sonix but he has a winning record on all the steve players. Can his attitude be a bit much? Sure but in the end his attitude should push people to want to beat him to lower his ego. So in the end zomba can quite literally save whats left of ultimate
That literally makes no sense. The two are not even related to each other. His attitude and beating camping players have nothing to do with each other and people are going to want to beat him regardless so I don't really know what to point you are trying to to make

Probably tried to focus on taking stocks, since he was struggling with it. He also played against two characters that aren't easy to camp, especially not ROB.
Sonix only camps when the matchup requires it. Otherwise he’s generally more aggressive than people give him credit for

Sonix has been playing really aggressive for about a year now, he just built up a reputation that’s tough to fight his way out of over quarantine
