Barry - you've got to check out "Over the River". PTX paired with Lindsey again for it and it's NOT like any version of Over the River (and Through the Woods) that you have ever heard - I guarantee!!! It is truely stellar, with a HUGE nod to Celtic inspiration - it's now one of my favorite "Christmas" songs that I can listen to anytime of the year!! Thanks for this reaction - greatness!!
I love how Kevin was so excited about going into "the lab", he corrected himself to the studio, with Lindsey for creating the beat for that song. This was during the behind the scenes video.
Over the River is not just a music video. It's a friggin work of art! 💖
Totally agree!!
@@shilohauraable Absolutely! A work of art worthy of an award at that!
PTX also did Papaoutai with Lindsey, and it is worth watching/listening to.
If PTX has ever done anything bad or even boring, I have yet to hear it, so we are good there. And Lindsey is top notch as a violinist, dancer, and general entertainer. And (I know I am being shallow, but ..) she is one sexy little lady.
Props to Lindsay for her Black Carbon Fiber Violin/Fiddle! & throw in a Pink Corvette for color balance....
this is one of my all time favorite PTX numbers. Maybe 4th, behind only Hallelujah, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Daft Punk. Love this. I wish Avi was still in the group.
There are so many superlatives about Pentatonix that you would think they get old. They don't because they're true. There are a number of Pentatonix covers that I would put at the top of my list. Among them are Hallelujah and The Prayer. Another Pentatonix cover that competes with the best acapella you have ever heard is "Take My Heart with You". It is a headphones on max volume closed eyed sound experience that has got to be considered one of the best acapella songs that has ever been recorded. I would love to hear your reaction to it.
I did not think it possible! Accompanied acapella! They use the strings like additional voices in the group. They respected the form while expanding it.
Hello! Lindsey Stirling is a fairy goddess among us who plays brilliant violin while dancing the most beautiful ballet. I would highly highly recommend her collaboration with Lzzy Hale of hailstorm called SHATTER ME…the video is spectacular and the whole thing will just blow your mind, enjoy the ride!💕✌️✨💙
Yes, please!!!
Lindsay Sterling is a gem! You need to watch her videos as well!!!
Hey Barry. It is good to see you reacting to Pentatonix again. It has been far too long. If you haven't reacted to their rendition of Over the River with Lindsey, I know you will love it. It is mind blowing!
I find it amazing that the beat boxer can simultaneously play the cello and beat box so well! Amazing!! Love you Barry!! Thanks for your reactions!!
This song was my first introduction to Pentatonix, I found it while diving down the Lindsey Stirling rabbit hole, and wound up with a new rabbit hole to dive down. No regrets.
Lindsey also played with PTX on Papaoutai which is sung in French with a very Toy Story vibe video. Also, please do check out Lindsey’s solo stuff as she is simply amazing.
Beautiful They have another collab with the song "Over the river" beautiful!! It has a beautiful Irish vibe.
Oh my goodness, I absolutely LOVE Lindsey Stirling--I am a Pentaholic, so no question there...but Lindsey deserves to be so much bigger than she is because she is amazing.
Don't worry she sells out concerts worldwide. She has a huge fan base ❤
I feel the same way! I love Pentatonix (I have a "pentaholic" tattoo -see profile pic), but even before they formed & won the Sing-off, I was a massive Lindsey Stirling fan. The way she plays & dances at the same time is mind-blowing! The only other artist I have seen with that particular talent is Mairead Nesbitt, formerly of Celtic Woman. Wow!!
Absolutely recommend “The recording of Evergreen”
Behind the scenes of their process of writing and producing an album with a 2 week deadline.
🤯🤯🤯
Pentaholic from Louisiana
This was the 1st vid of PTX and I was so enthralled with ho beautiful Kirsten is.
I didn't wear headphones & couldn't understand why Avi wasn't doing anything.
When our Barry is speechless for several minutes on end, we know he's moved. I love watching your expressions; sometimes, you don't have to say anything at all but we still can tell what you're feeling. God bless you Barry!
.. love Lindsey Stirling ♥️
If you like this you should see linsey performing Master of tides. Just that wonderful artist in all her tallent on display.
This video won "Response of the Year" award from RUclips in 2013. Kind of a weird name, but well deserved honor.
This song introduced me to pentatonix and is always a favorite of mine . It was on a sci-fi program, Defiance . The song just stayed with me, and I looked it up. The pentatonix version came up, and I headed down the rabbit hole and took many with me !!!!!
👏👏👏😃This is AMAZING! Scott is such a vocal chameleon!! I love the Kirstie and Mitch harmonies. Avi's rumbling bass is insane The Lindsey and Kevin duo is CRAAAAZY! They have colabed with Lindsey 3 times. This one is the first-time She and Kevin work so well together!!
This one by PTX always always gives me goosebumps. It's on my playlist along with the original by Imagine Dragons. Both are phenomenal in their own right. Love them both
Hi Barry, Just a little info about Lindsey Stirling.... She played the violin from age 6. She was on America's Got Talent in 2010 and made it to the Quarter Finals before being Xed. She worked on her craft of dancing while playing the violin. She has been back to AGT three times as a performer in seasons since her leaving the show. She has toured the world multiple times, competed and took second place on the 2018 season of Dancing With The Stars (find on You Tube), does gaming music, and has collaborated with many vocalists over the years on both covers and original music.
She released a new music video 7days ago titled "Love Goes On and On" featuring Amy Lee of Evanescence from her 5th album ARTEMIS, a concept album.
Lindsey also collabed on the Evanescence song "Hi-Lo" from their 2017 album. Lindsey Stirling composes her own music, Directs or Co-directs her music videos, Edits all of her videos, and concepts the video ideas as well as costuming. New Christmas album being released in the fall.
De ZANG was práchtig in harmonie met elkaar en emotioneel getint.
De muziekinstrumenten de 🎻
Viool en de Cello qua geluid en visueel erg mooi, tegen de achtergrond‼️
Lindsey Stirling is an amazing entertainer. She sings, she plays the violin (she's standing so technically she's a fiddler, but her technique is more smooth than I think of for fiddling), and she dances. You should check out one of her songs.
She is amazing (and when Charlie Daniels introduced himself as "a fiddler" to Itzak Perlman, Itzak said "we're all fiddlers!) That made me love Itzak Perlman even more!
Technically, whether you’re playing a fiddle or a violin is down to a matter of preference these days. I remember back when the distinction was supposedly how many strings you’re playing at once (more than one is fiddling), but after an argument in RUclips comments that led to further research (by me), there are so many supposed ways to distinguish between the two, but it’s the same instrument, and what you call it doesn’t really matter or mean there’s any significant distinction. There are exceptions to every supposed rule that violinists use instead of fiddling, so the naming conventions are out the window. You can be sitting in an orchestra playing one string at a time and call yourself a fiddle player. Or standing and dancing and play two strings at once and be a violinist. Lindsay considers herself a violinist, even though she’s almost always dancing while she plays, so she’s not technically a fiddler, she’s a violinist because she says so.
@@TennesseeMelanie Charlie Daniel's was a freaking genius. He was so so talented. I'm sad he's passed.
@@Bobal27 all of that makes sense.
The difference is easy to anyone who understands country music. The violin has strings. The fiddle has strangs. Sometimes people try to make it too hard to understand.
This is the song that I found PTX with. I had been a fan of Lindsey Stirling for a long time before this was dropped. I fell in love with the music of PTC from that moment on.
When he does them both together, he calls it celloboxing.
Barry you should do more Lindsey Sterling Reactions. I don't know if you only do vocal reactions but since you love violin I think you will love her. She has been around a while and has many great songs. My favorite is an older one called Where do We Go featuring Carah Faye.
I liked the violin and cello accompaniment - not on every song, but it was nice on this song.
You have to do Pentatonix and Lindsey Stirling doing their cover of Over The River from last christmas! It is by FAR one of the best covers they have ever done. The singing, the cinematography, the arrangement, everything about it is amazing!! Can you tell I like it? It's good to see a PTX reaction form you Barry, I've missed them and you together.
Lindsey is a wonderful musician. My favourite by her is Shatter Me with Lizzy Hale from Halestorm.
Also I love Lindsey’s Roundtable Rival and Master of Tides. That should be enough to get you addicted. 😆
I love Shatter me as well!! Well, all of those are great. Shatter me is just my fav!
Amen. Her Master of Tides video is my favorite of hers and is a stellar production. Been following her ever since her AGT appearance.
Look for "Over The River" another cooperation with Lindsey Stirling!
I totally agree. Over the river is pretty awesome. It would be great if you did a reaction to her stuff. Also 2 cellos. They do a cover of thunderstruck you should see.
I enjoyed your reaction to this awesome Pentatonix/Lindsey collab. Thank you. They all sounded so good. I love hearing Mitch sing in his lower register in this one.
You should check out more Lindley sterling, she's amazing. Plus check out 2 cellos, especially the show must go on. Brilliant musicians and know you love strings. Also check out Dimashs new requiem, the story of one sky. We need more Barry!! X
I love Lindsey Stirling the best electric violin and she's entertaining. I liked when she did her version of Phantom of the Opera song
Awesome Imagine Dragons Cover!!
I hope you noticed that Kevin was also handling the beat at the same time he was Cello playing
This is the song that made my mother (86 YOA) and I huge fans of both.
They have more and we Pentaholics are patiently waiting for you, Dear Barry, to get to them🥰❣️
Lindsay and Pentatonix collaborated again on the Christmas song Over The River! It's breathtaking! I really enjoy your reactions!✌❤🇨🇦
and also on the french one i can't remember the name of lol
@@supposedly1-2, Papoutai ( I think the spelling is right!). All done in French. A real treat for the eyes as well as the ears. Another one Barry should react to.
@@Gwennedd I've been listening to that one over and over lately! So so good!
@@supposedly1-2 Papaoutai
When this was first released, it somehow landed in my recommendations. Maybe I'd watched one other video of Lindsey, before, doing her early videogame cosplay music video? But this was the video that cemented me as a Pentaholic and Stirlingite! I managed to hear them both live (individually) in 2017...
You would also love Lindsey Stirling and Lzzy Hale with their song Shatter me.
Performing their little hearts out 🥰
You really need to check out PTX cover of The Prayer. It's so beautiful and moving
If violin is your favorite instrument then you definitely need to check out Lindsey's music. She has a huge catalog of covers and originals she's composed herself.
A lot of ppl are recommending her older stuff but I would like to recommend reacting to songs off her most recent album, Artemis.
Between Twilight has a stunning aesthetic.
Til the Light Goes Out is almost like a mini movie complete with a battle between good and evil.
Artemis was another beauty.
If you want a tear jerker I would go with Lose You Now ft Mako. It's dedicated to the loss of her father, niece and band mate. It took awhile for me to watch it without bawling.
No matter what you go with though, enjoy the Lindsey rabbit hole!
I love this version PTX and Lindsey r perfect together I also have Lindsey Stirling zelda medley has my ringtone
Hay Barry.....Lindsey Sterling and Lssy Hale "Shatter Me".....great Song.....Great Video! Check it out!
Voiceplay, similar to Pentatonix and Home Free.....
"My Mother Told Me" is a Viking Style Song.....and you will LOVE this group! ......They are Superb musicians!
"Valhalla Calling" is good to!
(Halloween music.... "This is Halloween"
"Oggie Boogie Song" ...From the nightmare before Christmas
"Hide and Seek" with Lauren Paley.....from the Movie Haunted Mansion with Eddie Murphy.....
and Geoffrey Castellucci does
"Monster Mash" and he plays all 5 characters! And his Wife has a small part in it..... you've Got to watch these! You Won't regret it! You will Love them!
Angela 😊👍🏻
You should also react to Penatonix and Lindsey doing Papaoutai. Fantastic sound, fantastic video and it’s in French!
Cello and Violin complemented their voices. Miss Avi. Great reaction and review. Now, goofed around long enough, gotta get back out in the blazing sun of the real south... Where the humidity causes your sweat to sweat. Think I'll make some sun tea today. (Maybe fry an egg on the walkway) Fun times.
So they have done 3 collabs with Lindsey. I think she became famous posting RUclips videos and so there is a natural link between them. In each one, Kevin also plays the Cello. There is a behind the scenes video for this video and Over the River.
I am so torn by your comment. When I'm in the PTX vibe , I love theirs but if I'm in the Imagine Dragons zone of all their amazing and inspiring songs, I prefer it. What can I say ?🥰🥰🥰
that bullfighter move at 2:02 by Lindsey was so smooth
YEP i felt that! Very powerful & moving.
Just the way i likes it 🌵🌾🍃🌟✨
your accent is extra deep today 🤟💥
This is what happens when you train your voice to literally be instruments, then add instruments to that magic.
Please react to more of Lindsey Stirling's videos! She is an amazingly talented musician! 💕❤💕
Love your comments. You really give performer's full credit.
Kevin played cello at Carnegie Hall when in high school.
Hey Barry! Love your reaction per usual.
Anytime Kevin is beatboxing, it’s another level. Him playing the cello is another level. But together? 🤯
Two different instruments (technically it might be more considering the different drum sounds) doing different notes at the same time?!?!
I can’t comprehend how difficult that is and yet he’s over here killing it every time! I never cease to be amazed. (Even when I’ve heard a song too many times to count). ❤️
As has been said you must react to “Over the River” featuring Lindsay Sterling. It’s beautiful!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 They never miss!
If you enjoyed this with Lindsey Stirling then you should check out her collaboration with The Tenors doing Who Wants to Live F. Forever. Its one of my favorites
its a damn good cover
38.- It goes without saying that the interrogation, upon returning, almost bordered on "putting the spotlight directly on the face and blowing cigarette smoke into the eyes." He just said: “I don't know! I was not there! I do not know what happened! It must have caught on something, a wire or a bramble! It's what she's saying, isn't it? The drama, a mixture of concern for the state of the hand and great anger at not knowing what had happened, lasted for days.
Those hours, between the bite and emergencies, seemed to have no end. It got dark and my parents brought me back home. I didn't sleep (but I didn't tell anyone) because my second heart kept wanting to run away with my hand, and because I was terribly afraid of never seeing Michi again, despite everything.
It was the next day, and by the hand of my grandfather, when the two great lessons arrived. Michi was back at his stone table, in the sun. Grandpa lifted him very carefully, holding him from below, and told me: “look at his hind leg”. In that leg, the one that I had squeezed with my left hand when lifting it, there was a great and deep hole that pierced the skin between the tendon and the bone. I knew he had another heart beating there, too, and that I had hurt him far more than he did me. It was that pain that propelled his fangs into my hand, as a simple reflex to avoid it.
So I learned, the hard way, that there are many different ways to react to pain (any pain) and that sometimes it is inevitable to cause pain to others to avoid our own if we can't find another way out. And I also learned that, before judging, it is necessary to find out the reason for each situation. Because it can happen that whoever causes us the damage, no matter how big and strong they are, is suffering more than ourselves.
I'm not going to forget this as long as I live either: I have three scars on my right hand, produced by the two fangs of a huge golden cat, with a gap of almost an inch between the two upper ones, which remind me of it. From time to time, I look at them and caress them.
Oh wow, Ana, what a lesson life gave you through Michi. We all can learn from that.
Thank you. Thank you very much. ❤❤
If everyone could understand that, it would be such a better world! it's a faculty that you have to keep only the essential and the positive in your experiences that makes me admire you Ana, thank you for sharing 💛
Yes Ana! What a lovely life lesson. This is one I often think of as well. I don’t have a physical reminder of this though. But yes, hurt people, hurt people. Hopefully that translates correctly. I found this #37 and #38. I am sure there are more that I don’t know about. Is there a #39?
I hope things are good for you. You mean a lot to me. ❤️
hey Barry, great to have you back!!! Kevin's 'Cello-Boxing' is pretty much what got him the gig with PTX to start with, Lindsey was on America's Got Talent and her violin playing is fantastic PTX has done a couple of other songs with her I'm sure other's will have the titles for them.
Papatoulli and Over the river, both incredible performances
I love love love Lindsey she is phenomenal
They've done 3 videos with Lindsey that I know of - and all are excellent. If you haven't seen their latest collaboration with her "Over The River" you really need to check that one out. Love your reactions Barry!
Awesome song from PTX and Ms. Sterling
I love this song and adore you and your reactions. ♥️
Hi Barb👋 THANK YOU SOOO MUCH ❤️ for yet another lovely 🎉SuperThanks🎉
You may adore this song and my reactions but you too are adorable. You’re incredibly encouraging and brighten my day with your wonderful friendship and support. Thanks again Barb ❤️ (PS: love the new picture)
I have missed your PTX reactions.
There is SO much good stuff from them.
Just keep them coming........without ANY forder ado! 😁💝💝💝
Lindsey Stirlin has her own Rabbit hole to follow. Extremely talented.
Lindsey won a RUclips Streamy Award for this video in 2014. The original song by Imagine Dragons first appeared in the end credits of the 2013 movie The Host, which is one of my favorite movies, and is based on the 2008 book of the same name by Stephenie Meyer, the Twilight author. In addition to the cello, Kevin also plays the piano, saxophone, and possibly several other instruments.
Yes, Kevin is amazing being able to beat box and play the cello simultaneously! This song will eventually stick in your head!! I would love for you to react to VoicePlay "Hoist the Colors" and/or "If I were a rich man/girl". You can hear their normal voices in either of these without the Oogie Boogie or This is Halloween creepy voices!
Hi Helen 👋 THANK YOU VERY MUCH ❤️
for the lovely 🎉SuperThanks🎉
I’m looking forward to doing more VoicePlay reactions and I’ve taken note of your great suggestions. Thanks again Helen ❤️
Hoist The Colors is award worthy. As are quite a few of their more recent videos! 🤗
@@shilohauraable They really are! Voiceplay is right up there with Pentatonix! Their style is 100% different, so you can't fairly compare them, but they are equally talented. One of my fav VP videos is Grim Grinning Ghosts, maybe bcoz I love Disney's haunted mansion. That video is so cute!!
Recommend their cover of Blinding Lights.
Lindsay Sterling is awesome and combined with Kevin's Cello, just out of this world. Love the visuals too. PTX always gives more than expected
Hi Barry. You should react to Lyndsey sterling and 2 cellos. Brilliant talent. Are you going to do any Dimash? Missed you, good to have you back love from sunny Wales ❤️
I loooove this song!!!
Lindsey Stirling is amazing! She did several other songs with PTX, please check those out, Papaoutai, and Over the River. Also please find Lindsey's channel and react to more of her other work, she's fantastic!!
Adore you and love your PTX reactions Barry! I'd like to request please that you react to Avi's new album entitled Floating on a Dream. Every track is fabulous. I would request He don't love you right and I'm only getting started. Hope you will oblige. His voice is divine, and he is the ultimate story teller. Thanks!
This was such a good one! I played it for my mom yesterday. The Alzheimer's has taken most of her mind but boy, does she light up when I show her music videos.
A J, I feel deeply for you. My mom had dementia & my sister & I were her caregivers. It really is heartbreaking. It's great that you've found something that brings her joy!! I used to sing & play the flute for my mom & her smile would light up like a Christmas tree! You & your mom are in my prayers. God bless.
@@beverlykrebs4372 That's very kind of you, thank you. Music really seems to be the key and her smile melts my heart.
@@aj2587 You guys will be in my prayers. 🙏
A video upload from you is a wonderful way to start the morning
This was my first favorite by PTX (and my intro to Lindsey). Epic post-apocalyptic feel!
You have to react to Over The River by pentatonix with Lindsey starling
Dear Barry ☘️ you’re right, it’s doubly luvly. I see this as an a cappella performance with the violinist layering her music on top of PTX. Thank you for this double review 😻
This is a cappella plus enhancements, or enhanced a cappella, if you like. Both the violin and cello are voices, rather than instruments.
❤❤❤
Thanks!
Hi Anne 👋 THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤️ for the lovely
🎉SuperThanks🎉 Your support encourages me to keep reacting to these amazing acts. Thanks again Anne ❤️
Hi Barry!! I've missed you & your Pentatonix reactions/reviews!!! So please do continue to do more of those! Plus add Lindsey's solo stuff, plus more Voiceplay too!!! Love you my dear Barry!! 💜
Over the River and Papaoutai are the other Ptx & LS collabs. Both will blow your mind!!!
Another great reaction. I love to watch you react to any song. You are so honest and sincere with your reactions. I'm never leaving the Barry Bus.❤️❤️
Ohhhh, Barry! I'm so glad to see you discovered Lindsey Stirling. ;) She's amazing! Enjoy. 😊
Now you should react to some of Lindsey's stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah at times it’s almost hard to tell the cello or Avi…at the beginning spot they sound so alike
The cello makes me cry every time.
Sorry I can't remember if you have reacted to their Over the River song also featuring Lindsey Sterling. If not, please do it soon because it's fantastic.
Let's not forget Imagine Dragons, where this cover comes from.
If you're interested, there's a behind the scenes making of this video that's pretty interesting.
Hey Barry since you enjoyed this one there are two others with PTX and Lindsey Sterling. You might be interested in reacting to Papaoutai, and Over The River.
I love everything about this one! This is also the one that I fell in love with Avi! Ya know, that strong tough guy vibe, but you just know he is an angel! 🤣😂Lindsey is incredible as is every member of PTX. Somewhere in their videos is a bts video of this that is also great to see, how they put this all together. Fun! Thank you for this 🤗💚
Just love Lindsey! What could be better than a collaboration w Pentatonix????
You should check out Lindsay's song Shatter Me
