- Takes about a minute till the video properly gets going and we get out of the 30mph limit, and it certainly gets going... This thing has some issues trying to deliver power and stay in gear (great example after 2:30), which in this driver's mind translates as cane it to Manningtree before it breaks down!
There was a faster bit at the end of the journey but I didn't film that, honestly this bit was entertaining enough to make a video on its own.
This bus was serving route 92 from Ipswich to Manningtree.
Operator: Ipswich Buses
Fleetnumber: 7 (formerly 17751 with Stagecoach London)
Registration: LX03BTF
Chassis: Dennis (Transbus) Trident
Body: Alexander (Transbus) ALX400
Gearbox: Voith 4-speed
I love Ipswich buses! I hope they get more ex SLN ALX400s!
@Chiltern Transport Productions The only ones I know they've withdrawn so far is Y436NHK (ex 17436) and a few 02 reg ones (not ex stagecoach probably ex abellio but I'm not sure).
The Omnicities they're hiring will probably be a mix from PD and WH as SLN are withdrawing most of them from London.
They also had E400MMC's at one point for the X5 but only for a short time, probably for testing or training or something.
@@charlieblagg678 They are keeping the DAF DB250 ELC Mylleniums as well I think
Wray160 all tridents are gone, ironically this one (7 - LX03 BTF) remains the last ALX400 with 2 president tridents. Only Scania N230UD are from First / Metroline London no Stagecoach examples. The DAF DB250LF’s remain in fleet along with N94 Omnidekka’s but more than likely go in the next couple of years. In this video 7 was experiencing gearbox and engine cutting issues since rectified from parting out the other Carters trident (8 LX04 FYB).
Ooo ex-SLN and TT doing well
