Oh, what a missed opportunity. I love Summer Nights, don't get me wrong, but Foster Beach has such a cute, deliberately juvenile kick to it that makes it obvious these are just kids playing up to their friends.
Honestly thanks a lot for posting this. I have been looking everywhere for this version of the play and I’m so glad that someone has made it available on RUclips I’m super excited to listen to the new songs
P.S. Also, I like that they ended "There are Worse Things..." in a minor key; it's more dramatic that way. And I loved that they had Kenickie sing the drive-in song! That was much better than Danny whining about how Sandy "hurt" him by turning down his (overly aggressive) advances. (Of course, like many people, I didn't really think much about this plot point until well into my adult years.)
I know it was a mix of the original Chicago production along with some new material but damn………..that was awesome and you could def hear the sounds of early rock and roll when it was dangerous (according to adults anyway). Plus I love that it reiterates that even though Sandy has changed her looks, she is not ready to go all the way with Danny, something I think a lot of people don’t get.

Having listened to this. Danny goes down many notches, while Kenickie takes the lead.
This was fun to hear. "In My Day" is such a cute song-- that scene should have been left in!

My biography in 1991 . . . . I loved it! . . . . Pre-Nirvana punk rock straight edger! 😊
Anybody know of a transcript or lyrics at least?
After her revelation, Patti Simcox is my favorite! 😊
