Oh my days 8 minutes ago Am i blessed or cursed for finding this video so soon In all seriousness i love your videos Has that certain uniqueness about them that no other channel that does this sort o content can even remotely compare to
A lengthy upload by an incredible author! Really looking forward to giving these another listen, and thank you to Ian AND Allison both! Christmas came early!! One thing about AVH stories - you always pick up on something new each time that you didn't catch previously!
Guard in the Dark is wild. A Crazy and dark story, all of the adults never understood the boy NEEDED the soldiers. im pretty sure that's my favorite of her stories in this series at least! very good story! Very well told Ian!
The Underbody is a masterpiece. The narrative switch at the end, from describing the doctor's internal experience directly to describing it from the perspective of the people around him, it's so chilling. I wish I understood why, but if the story had ended with the narrator describing him almost catching Mr Mole in real time it would have been far less scary. It's like author is saying "you've been everywhere with this character, but you don't get to go down there with him"
I sometimes listen as I nap, allowing it to seep into my liminal spaces. I no longer recoil at the darkness. On the contrary, I've come to believe that fear is the signal for awakening
I always have to skip the Warren intro... My sons name is Warren, and it freaks me out to even hear it. I do know the tale its from, and that the Warren in question was a surname. But still, disquieting.
I don't find them annoying; although some do work better than others. Also without giving the plot away what generally speaking can you really say about the stories anyway ? Just a a few people with time on their hands having a bit of a laugh really. After all we come here for the stories not so much for the comments ?
@@tamlandipper29 Well you don't have to read them, (the comments,) if you don't find them interesting or entertaining do you ? Nonetheless many people seem to. I'll confess that I'm having some difficulty understanding what your problem, (perhaps that's too strong a word,) actually is ? After all the comments here are posted by other listeners and Horror babble isn't in any manner responsible for them nor in any position to much affect them.
Allison Harding has been one of my favorite writers thanks to you, Ian. She’s truly overlooked and underrated.
Absolutely love her work - one of my consistent favorite listening experiences on this channel!
An often overlooked and underrated author worthy of a compilation. Thank you!
Never heard of this writer... Thank You for the Introduction! Hitting home runs, as usual!
I just picked up this huge and rich collection for a song on your Bandcamp store. I might never have known this writer without you.

This is a real treat. thank you for all your hard work. The Damp Man Trilogy that you have done previously is genius.
Brillliant! Thank you Ian.

Genius
In addition to narration and storytelling, this artwork is amazing. ❤
Nice to remember old stories!
Absolutely brilliant thanks again Ian
I must have read Take the Z-train 30 years ago, hearing it again it is a haunting story.
I know what I'm doing this weekend!
Thank you for another video!

Warren is fine. We are having a Peroni 😅
So Warren is intoxicated, not dead?😊🎉
Sorry folks don't trust theses two I confirm Warren is indeed dead......Warren is actually dead as fuck.... sorry about the inconvenience. 🤦🏽♂️😞
Fool
@@ladypan1967You Fool! Warren is dead.
Ok? Hilarious..
Never clicked on a video upload this fast 😂❤
I'm glad the very first Horror Babble I listened to was the one where Warren died. I've been spared from having to worry about what happened to him.
A great collection very enjoyable.
The first story reminds me of Isaac Asimov's: Nightfall. It was published in 1941.
Allison Harding is one my favorite authors.
Top-tier. Her stories feel timeless to me.
God bless you and your work sir 🙏🙏🙏💙💙💙
These are great.
15 mins in, already sensational ❤

Then we'll have to kindly ask you to leave.
Thank you ❤
9:00 In my little Oklahoma town, the lights go out with an unrelenting regularity. So far so good 😮
I was even a lineman whose job it was to go out and turn the lights back on...🎶I got sea stories 🎶
Hullo, my friends, I don't mean to bother. But has anyone seen my friend Warren? He's my ride home. 😮
0:08 love this bit of music... Is there a playlist of just the musical ambience anywhere (particularly this one) ?
💀Fantastic!💀
Warren has more lives than a cat!
I'm here😊
Does the Leviathan fear the Abyss?
The Marmot has to be my favourite - little rodent warrior!
Good marmot 😊
Sorry to do this here, what would I need to pledge on Patreon to request you rerecord Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath?
I don't take pledges to record specific stories, but I am planning to re-record that particular story.

Yayy!!!
Is that Tony Hawkes?

Want to listen to you. Unfortunately the other voice artists distract me.
Would be cool if people gave up on the annoying Warren jokes and just talked about the story

I have to agree. For new listeners it's not as interestimg as listeners posting personal views or extra background.
