@@ABC-ik9vj remember when people said Zackray looks innocent too when he was just starting? His twitter likes were filled with ecchi and border line hentai content. Not that that’s a problem, dude is going through puberty. (His twitter likes still occassionally has some ecchi pictures). The problem is that it is often associating asians with the stereotypes of being weak or not vocal, which in turn leads to other assumptions like ‘innocence’. Sure I may be a party pooper, but I hate seeing how other conversations its considered inappropriate (like if we had a skit where a dark skinned person was depicted as very suspicious with a hood and hands in their pockets) whereas here it is accepted just because this is majority’s view as well.

The Production team at BTS is 🔥 These are always the best Smash events of the year. With other tournaments, I feel like the players are always on edge, and are at times playing with a lack of sleep. But with Summit, it gives players the time to relax and train without having to worry about the main event right off the bat.

I'm pretty sure most of the top players pick up a phrase here and their in different languages just from playing the top players from said regions so often. Leo learned most of his English just by going to tournaments. You can see the same thing with Acola who says "thank you" and other simpler phrases in the post set interviews. I know KEN pretended he hadn't picked any English up for years just because he thought it was funny
@@bunionl382 I'm pretty sure they teach English in schools in Japan, too, so Acola probably has at least some knowledge of English beyond what he'd hear at his few US tourneys
This implies that Light either knows Japanese, or Smash Pros live by Tekken standards where everyone speaks a different language, but can completely understand each other

This is a great bit. I genuinely was disappointed with Light after the Gimvitational, it felt like he disregarded Acola as a player entirely because of his Steve salt.
The way he approached it this event felt far better and respectful. He worked for it and earned his win.
People are finally learning the match up, Acola didn't blow out anyone this event, all his wins were close as was his loss to Light. I hope this salty community attitude begins to fade as the genuinely carried Steves start falling off.
